So as other members in EXO, they all train with different teacher that appropriate to their need. Chen with one star and Chen is also study/train to be a vocal coach himself, D.O. with Yoo Youngjin and Chanyeol is taking lesson for vocalist with the same teacher as Baekhyun(they went together) and rap with another teacher but I don't have info about Xiumin, Kai and Sehun. Kai said once in the variety show that they all are busy and can only chat in the chatroom even if there is no group activities/practice 'cause aside from individual schedules, everyone has to go class for whatever need vocal, dance, rap and etc.

Fun fact: UN Village (Pronounced like U.N. Village -- like United Nations -- UN. Not unvillage.) is a real place in Korea, it's a ritzy, trendy neighborhood in Korea where some of the top celebrities and idols live. For example, some of the members of BigBang have, or used to have, apartments in UN Village. The area is known for its cool architecture and landscapes and I think some of this MV was either shot in UN Village or, at the very least, the sets were meant to emulate the look of UN Village. So Baekhyun has said that the song is supposed to make listens feel like they want to take their date to UN Village and wander through the streets and buildings while whispering words of love in their ear, etc. "UN Village" and this album City Lights is Baekhyun's solo debut. He kind of surprised all of us with this one. Before the song was released, we all were trying to guess what kind of style and sound his first album was going to have. And, although this style totally makes sense for him, I don't think many were anticipating it would be quite this soulful. Also, as a member of EXO, Baekhyun's superpower is the ability to control light. So, although "UN Village" is a love song and he is singing to and about a girl and about her light, the lyrics are also referencing the fact that his superpower is the ability to control light. The lyrics have a double meaning -- it's about love, but it's also about how he can literally turn off the street lights with his powers. That is why this MV has so many references to spotlights and shadows and light and dark and why you see the shadow of lamps with bare light bulbs, and why it's in black and white, etc. It all has to do with the fact that he is a member of EXO and he can control light. Hence, one reason why the album is called City Lights, which obviously also references his power. LOL As with almost everything EXO does, the red light is thought to represent the Red Force and blue represents EXO. So the scenes that are red could be instances where the Red Force is in control and the scenes in blue are when Baekhyun has the upper hand. Also take note of the giant map he is looking at hanging on the wall in this MV. When you eventually get to watch EXO-CBX's MV for their song "Horololo," you will see what many think is that same map hanging on the wall in the office Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin are in in their "Horololo" MV. Everything EXO does is connected to the group's concept and storyline. This song and MV is an example of how even EXO's solo projects are part of the story -- even as soloists, they can't escape the fact that they are members of EXO. So, "UN Village" and City Lights is supposed to have an evening theme and "Candy" and Delight, his follow up song and repackaged album, is supposed to be daytime/daylight. It all is meant to play off of each other. :D The two albums are as different as night and day. That's why SM artists are on a whole other level and why SM is known as the vocal powerhouse of the industry. They don't have to do a whole lot of remastering of songs when they record their albums because SM's artists are all crazy good vocalists and they have trained to sound just as good, if not better, live as they do in the studio recordings. When it comes to SM artists, you shouldn't hear hardly any difference between the MV and a live performance.

I saw Baekhyun perform this at a SuperM concert and he is that good. He has three other live performance mvs, all of which I highly recommend: Amusement Park. Originally it was its own project but then the song was included on Bambi Love Again. From the Delight album (with Candy) Garden in the Air. Cover of the BoA song About his ongoing vocal lessons, I saw him give two reasons. One, when you’re in a group you’re used to singing only parts of the song. He wanted to retrain himself to perform entire songs on his own. The second was that he wants to be a singer for a long time, which means using proper technique.

Thank you for this reaction! This will always be one of my favorite Baekhyun songs. I start every morning with a cup of coffee and the Bambi album. Believe it or not, all Exo members still train with vocal coaches even today...because everyone has a different sound and style, they continue to train according to their style. Yes, they've been singing for 10 plus years now, which training starts pre-debut (before 2012). They were in school still, some scouted as early as middle school. Back then they had to keep it a secret from classmates that they were SM trainees. So they had to concentrate on school, then after, go to the SM building to practice. If they were already admitted to live in the dorms at the SM building, after practice they would study for school. And a couple of them graduated from high school while at the dorms, and with the support of their new friends(other members), going to the school for the graduation with flowers.🥰 ALL EXO MEMBERS ARE SINGERS. They are a group that loves to sing more than dancing or rapping. That's why they have more pop, love songs, cute songs, than any other group. They just want to sing. And unless you don't like that slower, yet joyful type of genre..Exo isn't for you. They do many genres....but people go to their concerts to HEAR them...a stadium of 55,000 people will be totally silent when they do ballads. Their vocals are just amazing, even when dancing...as trainees they all had to practice singing on treadmills...so they condition their bodies. With the exception of Kai, Sehun and Lay, who are the main dancers...they focus on their first love, dance, but also sing. Pleass check out Baekhyun's recent album first "Bambi" I'd llike to see that. You already heard "All I Got"....like me...no words.🤭💙🌺

What i love about UN Village is how it's not much belting but believe me this song is one of the hardest songs out there. This song is so sexy even just by hearing it and his voice did that. Being honest I feel like we are so spoiled as an exo-l by their vocals. I didn't know before what does it mean when people used to say they eat CDS. Some songs actually better live. I mean don't take me wrong they are also humans and they do have some bad days, some stages I saw had some problems with mics and mixing, may be that day vocals were not so good, and so on. But majority performances they do life are incredible.

Uri EXO's main vocals line are never fail in live session. Maybe you could check on "EXO best live vocal 2020" to make that sure 😁 Baekhyun is one of idol that can do it all. His vocal is stunning, he obviously can dance (he had few solo part on EXO stage) and he even can do rap (you can check on EXO CBX Horololo for Baekhyun rapping).
