Skye Boat Song - Outlander Theme Song lyrics: Sing me a song of a lass that is gone Say, could that lass be I? Merry of soul she sailed on a day Over the sea to Skye. I was surprised to find out that that is a truncated version of the original Skye Boat Song.
@AV-fo5de2 жыл бұрын
@@annhalton1963 It needed to be left alone. It is a treasured and traditional Scottish song, and those lyrics are totally dismissive of the meaning of it. Generations of Scottish children have been lulled to sleep by it being sung - in its original version. Now we have people thinking it is all about some fictional "lass"! Respect, please. Watch the 1964 Watkin's Film on You Tube for the real story - wounded men coralled in a barn which was then set alight, men women and children massacred on the roads and in Inverness, the tartan, kilts, bagpipes, and much more, banned on pain of imprisonment or death. Families were uprooted, homes burned and martial law imposed. As one verse of the song should say, "Many's the lad fought on that day Well the claymore did wield, When the night came, silently lay Dead on Culloden’s field."
@annhalton19632 жыл бұрын
@@AV-fo5de Agreed! I think they morphed it for the show because after she passes through the stones and goes back in time, she lands in the Battle of Culloden. Some of those people were my ancestors, too. What horrible atrocities people commit. Thanks for informing me. Take care, my friend.

Song of very ancient date, "Speed Bonnie Boat"- first written as Piobaereachd, as here performed... original lyrics were on the Ash Tree, Edhach; written by a male Avatar- of the god Viras (he wrote also Flowers Of The Forest, litany of fathomless mourning); not of the Golden Aeon preceding, but of the Platinum Aeon just preceding that... Extremely good for Rezefede... Qailyech Goeff Broghech....

There's no ken for this except correctly as a sacred artifact... The original Braveheart- perhaps Celt himself is correctly so regarded- placed in sore bonds and shackles by the Frisian, or English ones, was eventually murdered or martyred by them, as he refused to accept English hegemony for himself and his people. Celt had blond hair. The murder of Mary, of Scots was also an Unpardonable transgression, of Perdition- the English, Frisians were very hegemoniacal and monopolistic; the Rezefede, or Patriarchal Attribution channel of English was removed from the aerth- by that old Aquarius actually, it was gone. That's the primary reason why the English language brings no energy, vitality, renewal. The such attribution of this land, this continent- it appears that it is for the line that shed the least amount of blood, waged the least violence over it; it became fully Celtic, with the removal of the Frisian or English channel... There can be no eternal life for concocted Names like America and U.S.A., derived from a tribe who shed a great deal of blood over it, and in a false prophecy- the land is best called Alba Nuadh or Nova Scotia. The people haven't had a real Rezefede, have very incredibly low vitality relatedly; a method of alleviation should best involve changing both the name and the language of the land; part of a House of the True Heart Rezefede...
