If you replace the sugar with jaggery would try equal quantities! and you could try this as a vegan recipe but I am not sure whether it will work the same way. You might replace the egg with buttermilk I suppose!

Hi, I just made your wonderful chocolate cake and when i made the frosting after it cooled some it was very thick and super hard to spread. Your cake video did not show your technique for making the frosting correctly. thank you

Hi Cade, that usually happens if you refrigerate the frosting- make sure it is at room temp when you spread it. If you didn't put it in the fridge, add more milk- should do the trick!
