I made these today and they are delicious. Hubby really liked them. Here are the directions I wrote from the video. Thank you for sharing! Line baking tray with parchment paper. Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F or 205 C. Put all the wet ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Cover and let sit about 5 minutes. While that is resting, mix all the dry ingredients together in another bowl. Now go back to the wet ingredients. Put them in a strainer over another bowl. Press to extract most of the water. Put in a dry bowl. Add in the onion and cilantro. Mix in the mixed dry ingredients. Knead with hands all together until it’s all mixed together. Oil a ¼ measuring cup and your hands. Scoop the dough into the measuring cup and form into equal size patties. Place patties on the baking tray about ½ inch apart. Bake for about 25-30mins. Turn patties over and bake another 15 mins. They shouldn’t be too moist or soggy. Remove from oven and brush with the oil on each side.

I use a canning jar lid to form my patties. That way you can use the lid to push Pattie from ring and they are all the same size. Larger for a nice hamburger patty. If you use sage and smoke flavoring you can make a type of sausage pattie for breakfast. Once cooked you can put them in a casserole dish and put Creole sauce over them and bake. Great job in putting together a mix that is so versital.

great recipe - easy to make oil-free. you can also skip the draining step as well. I actually froze mine to keep them for quick meals, helps them stay together better. I added some chopped and grated celery to mine in place of the 2nd zucc and it gave it a nice kick in umame (since celery has a lot of salt).
@MsPants16323 жыл бұрын
Did you freeze them before you cooked them or after? I am also looking to make a bunch and freeze them for later, but am not sure if I should cook them first before freezing. Thanks.
@belljo3 жыл бұрын
@@MsPants1632 I cooked them first, then froze. But I guess it would fine to freeze them 'uncooked' just put baking paper between each patty so they don't fuse together. but uncooked, there is more water in them and so freezing can sometimes have unexpected results.

I'm not a vegetarian, but this looks really good. I'm going to try this one. I have a similar recipe for summer squash fritters, the squash and onions are grated like yours, a little salt added, and left ti rest and drain, but in a colander over a bowl. It's surprising how much liquid drains off. I let it rest about an hour, or sometimes grate the vegs in the morning and let it drain all day in the fridge. In your recipe, I think I'll use both an egg and flax meal, because I like the flavor of flaxseed. I might increase the cumin and add some black pepper, but not until I try just yours as given. Looks wonderful, can't wait to try it! Thank you for sharing.

Hello from Québec, Canada. I'm using a sweet potato instead of a regular one, that i'm cooking and mashing with no liquid, i just add yeast , 1 t.s of miso, and 2 table spoons of almond meal to it, and i mix it with the veggies. The texture is perfect. The rest is just like you do it. BTW, you have a very soothing and pleasant voice, please don't change. Sadly, i had to stop watching several cooking channels that had good recipes only because the people presenting it were so loud and theatrical, that it was distracting me from the actual content!
