Besides the Inside (which is a small part of japan), it's a modern day setting. The Inside might give those vibes but that is because it's a lawless area.

With that alone I haven’t seen or read anything in kengen that comes close to that then there’s the time where just them being tense shakes and entire skyscraper also let’s not mention falling from said building which was like 100ft tall onto a car and being completely fine to continue fighting. Baki casually breaks cement walls different from cement blocks that martial arts are known for his father created enough pressure in his hand to cut glass like a diamond with a knuckle. Biscuit Oliva literally plays tug of war with a military helicopter a CH-47 which weights 33,000 pounds and was trying to pull away from him and he was continuously pulling it back down. And I haven’t seen anyone or read so far in Kengen that can react to a punch going Mach speed. Both Shows are super human but that’s like Captain America thinking he can take on the Hulk if the Hulk was also a Master of EVERY martial art and created his own martial art mad mastered it by battle testing it to remove any weakness. Also Baki did this all by the age of 18 he has experience equal to that of masters in either verse from how many battles he’s fought and the unique types of fighters he’s fought. Let’s not forget gets genetically built to be a fighter superior to other people The Kure had to breed for generations to do that and he’s a genius like his father able to see a technique once and learn it instantaneously. Lastly let’s not forget Baki not only has the Demon back but also the Demon brain too again the fights not close they made it close to make it fair period and I’ll admit I haven’t read much of Omega so I’m willing to hear any feat it has that you can tell me beats any I’ve given cause to me removal is nothing to someone that’s already beyond Standard levels of strength as a kid and pre teen Baki was on level with Olympic athletes kid not even in his prime yet at only 18 he’s just getting started as for Ryuki you act like Baki always playing there are times when he’s dead serious like with his father and Miyamoto Musashi who could cut people without a blade and could still cut through them completely

I really wish Netflix and the animators at TMS would step it up with the animation. Especially if they're gonna do a movie. I have yet to see any Baki anime that perfectly encapsulates Itagaki's art like the 2016 Most Evil Death Row Convicts OVA did. That should be the level of quality we get during events like this 1. Heck even the 2001 series knew when to bring it with the animation during important fights. Which says a lot given how long we had to wait to get a continuation of Baki.

And there has to be a sequel in the works as not only did Saw Paing and Jack promised to avenge their losses to Hanayama, and Raian along with Raian threatening Baki and Baki's reply to Raian's death threats being "Sure. Whenever you want to go I'll be waiting." Ohma vs. Baki Round 2 since it ended in a draw and of course the 2nd main event alongside Ohma vs. Baki that being Kuroki vs. Yujiro. And of course what is sure to be another main fight for the 2nd Underground Arena vs. Kengan Association competition that being "The German Monster" Julius Reinhold vs. "The strongest man in America" Biscuit Oliva.

Soon as you posted this i knew i forgot something and GOT RIGHT ON IT. AND IT DIDNT DISSAPOINT. OUR BOYS GOT DONE SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOD. I am definitely am a fan of CGI Kengan mostly because while CGI in anime is very off putting Kengan is one of better shows that performs But I was trying to figure out where in the Kengan timeline so damn hard. Other than making it an elseworld side story like with Street Fighter and Dumbells I could only assume this had to have happened mid Annihilation tournament as a whole whimsy thing from Metsudo; which would honeslty be believeable or during Omega after the plot twist, but itself being a huge spoiler so I'd rather it be the former. FIghtwise yeah I agree it was predictable I wish we had the fluidity from old Baki, it was truly a fan's show and I loved everyone's moments especially the bathroom scene and the arm wrestling. AHHHHHH NOW I NEED MORE CHAPTERS FOR OMEGA AND STR.
