2 things: (Toolbag price and correct tangent setup) Yes Toolbag is paid software, but is the best baking software on the market. Everything from normal maps, IDs, to GI lightmaps. Easily worth the one time payment investment! Would be nice to have simple baking in Mixer though. Make sure to use the right tangent space. Most software uses MikkTSpace. I set this as the default in Toolbag in the preferences.

1) Is there a good resource anywhere for the Quixel shortcut keys? 2) I would love to see a short example tutorial of the best ways to add assets to the bridge library using an external 3d software (blender for me) + quixel bridge + mixer that can then be easily exported to Unreal. I have a working pipeline set up but I wonder if there is not a faster method or some tricks and tips I might be missing out on. Pretty please with sugar on top.

Having a strange issue. If my high poly mesh has a sub-d applied, I get a very incomplete normal map, but all the other maps look fine. If I don't have a sub-d applied (in effect making both meshes low poly) I get a complete normal map, but it and the other 3 maps all have weird wavy artifacts throughout. Wish I could include an example. Any ideas what's going wrong? I'm brand new to this.

might sound like a stupid question but I'm working in c4d, Mixer & Marmoset. I cant seem to get the object to randomise the colour map upon importing as shown here, is there something I'm missing? I can create materials within marmoset and manually assign in the scene but this is pretty tedious and I'm sure im doing something wrong here, thanks!

@@AlesonTalis What do you mean by OC? Do you mean ambient occlusion? Blender can do that by default, too. Try the displacement tutorial by Default Cube, that might have what you're looking for. It probably won't work very well for closed models, but that is not advised in games, and in animation you should be able to use a higher poly mesh anyway.

Typical Quixel garbage! Step 1 : Use a different software (Marmoset toolbag). Step 2 : Never go near any Quixel product ever again. Marmoset toolbag is everything the Quixel suite in not. It is useful, richly functional, great looking, easy to use and effective. Also, it is not a subscription trap. You but it you use it.
