Hi all! We're finally covering Selune today in this instalment of the Deity Build series! Myself and the community went back and forth on how to make this build for a while, and eventually settled on a duo build as there was so much lore to cover. I'm really happy with the results overall! And no, this isn't just a rip-off version of Aylin and Isobel... mostly...

If you make a level 1 cleric and then add paladin, it’ll add {paladin of} dialogues

I wonder, do you get any special dialogue regarding your goddess, when you are rejecting Bhaal? Or is it the same as for the non-cleric Durge?

I like these builds. Personally, I appreciate builds that sacrifice power for flavor. I much prefer the flavor. After thousands of hours of playing the game, it's not particularly difficult even on Honour Mode. It's much more interesting to focus on the flavor of the character and build.

I think my next playthrough is going to be a Bane deity build. Dark Urge run sorta similar to your Laduguer build. Command, Fear or other Subjugation type skills. Planning to go Pally/Warlock with super high charisma solely for the spell DC

Nice dude! I'm doing the same with Bhaal. Going for a horror movie slasher villain vibe. It's not optimal by any means, but I'm trying a Berserker/Champion/GOO mix to cause fear on crits. Could also skip the crit stuff and go for reverb to trip people up.

Here's what I would change for New Moon's equipment: Gloves: - Gloves of Belligerent Skies (Crèche Y'llek): since she can deal a "bit" of radiant damages, she'll be able to inflict Reverberation quite easily (don't know if it works with moonbeam tho) - The Reviving Hands (Stormshore Tabernacle): Blade Ward when healing. Death Ward on revive. Plus, you have a "free" Revivify once per long rest. Boots (Boots of Speed are good, but if you're using them on someone else): - Boots of Stormy Clamour (Myconid Colony, after doing Omeluum quest): more Reverberation when you inflict a condition so it would go well with the Gloves of Belligerent Skies. - Blackguard's Greaves (kill That Which Lurks in the Murder Tribunal): longstrider and +1 athletics are always good imo.

I like the concept of the first build, truly. But personally I would rather pick Cleric OR Druid rather than split 50/50 between them, cuz then it takes soooo long to get to the juicier features of each. I feel I'd go full Nature Cleric, to get access to the druidic things desired, except of course for Wild Shape. And Ancients Paladin is goated, no notes, awesome no matter what you do with it

One last thing: for the purpose of testing Paladin builds specifically, you should choose an encounter you can start from dialogue to not break an Oath by using preemptive strikes.

Ehh, I don't think it's a huge deal when you can just reload a save afterwards. For testing purposes, it's fine. Not for regular gameplay tho

@@HoboZone I meant the fact that channeling is blocked for testing fight. So hypothetically if you needed to use Healing Radiance (or any other Channel Oath), it would not work for testing.

I could be completely wrong but didn’t think Selûne’s sphere was nature at all. I like the flavour of Druid, wild shape Is more or less budget lycanthropy which she is know to be involved with.

11:00 - So I just checked and it is kind of weird that Sylvanus and Selune are not said to be allies (nor enemies mind you). I guess with enemies like Moander, Malar, Talona, and Talos you don't have time to look for more of them in the night (even if you account for what Shar did to Shadow-Cursed Lands).

@matria8453 If every god with some overlap between domains were to be allied you'd have even more of a mess to navigate relations between them than there already is. Gods are usually grouped on actual interaction with each other not on what they represent.

A full party build would be nice to see again :D. I dunno if you take suggestions from yt comments, it's not bg3 related and more of a fun one. 😅 How about a "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" party build? xD It would kinda work, the "nunchuck" can be flails, the daggers/shortswords as sai's, only 1 katana is existing in a playthrough sadly but may be possible to duplicate, otherwise 2 longswords. A fitting Quarterstaff would be the chewtoy quarterstaff, since it got more weapon actions.

You can redesign hirelings or use mutliplayer by plugging in controllers.
