Hi there Mark, yes I sure will, as soon as it is clear when exactly they'll be reopening. I'm hearing differing accounts of exactly what's going to happen in June or July. I think they're still shooting for at least a July opening as of today (May 27th) though it's not clear exactly what countries Bali will will be open to first. I can at least tell you that they are moving ahead with vaccinations very, very quickly here in Bali. The new cased numbers are still down and they're aiming for 3 million people vaccinated in Bali total by the end of July. That'll be about 70% of the population and somewhere around herd immunity hopefully. Beyond saying that I'd just rather not speculate and add to the confusion, I hope you understand and I do appreciate your interest Mark.

Is the lockdown lifted already. Aug 2021..planning a visit to check things out to retire there.. thank you.
@Wagefreedom3 жыл бұрын
Not yet, although they've apparently opened most beaches again. The numbers are way down and things are looking far better than they were a couple of months ago so we're definitely going in the right direction. Very grateful for that. No word on when foreign tourists or retirees will be allowed back in again yet. I wish I could give you something firm.

Hey dear, do you have any update? My boyfriend and I want to visit Bali in Juni/august. We need do be in quarantine or vaccined?
@Wagefreedom3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, they are still saying June/ July for reopening, at least in the Bali green zones, let's hope that happens. My understanding is you will have to be vaccinated and quarantine, but I think the length of your quarantine depends on what country you're coming from. Please look in the description above for the Facebook group run by Jackie Pomeroy for very thorough, daily updates. Good luck, fingers crossed!

Great video! On Monday I booked a flight and a two week stay for October. Hoping things are going well enough to be opened up by then. Luckily I am fully vaccinated already with Moderna, I hope you get your shots soon! Please keep the updates coming, I subscribed right away!

Hi Michael-- thanks a lot, I'm still hearing that they're hoping for June/July start for re-opening, so we'll see! Really hope you and many other people can come this year. Not sure if vaccines will be required for entry but you should be in good shape having already had yours. (I suspect vaccines will be required for entry into Indonesia but that is **just my own current speculation**)

Tom, Do you think that September or October are better for visiting Bali? Not sure about September since it is hurricane season.
@Wagefreedom3 жыл бұрын
Hi Cheryl--September and October are about the same for weather really, at least in the beach areas in the SW of the island, Kuta/Seminyak etc. The transition to the rainy season can start in September, but you'd have a good chance of dry season weather then--relatively cool nights and noticeably less humidity. They're still saying June/July reopening here btw!

Thanx for your great info. Do u have any idea as to the B211A visa being back now?
@Wagefreedom3 жыл бұрын
The best answer I can give you is to directly call the Indonesian embassy nearest you. Everything else is rumor or an effort to sell you something. I don't mean to sound harsh, but that's what I'd do--you'll save a lot of time and you can have confidence in the answer.

What is the position on people who do not want to have the Vaccine... or are unable to have it due to medical grounds...?
@Wagefreedom3 жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin--it's a very good question and I know many people are asking it. **Just my own current speculation**--I suspect vaccines will be required for entry into Indonesia, at least until the numbers are very low worldwide. I think there will be an answer to this soon, if there isn't already official guidance out that I'm not aware of.

@Wagefreedom3 жыл бұрын
Hi Cheryl-- well it's open to domestic flights, Indonesian tourists are definitely coming here. I'm not sure if international flights are coming directly to DPS-- my understanding is that most or maybe all are having to come thru Jakarta right now.

Is kuta under green zone?
@Wagefreedom3 жыл бұрын
I haven't heard that they are trying to make Kuta a formal green zone, yet. They are vaccinating a whole lot of people in Kuta and all over the island though. My interpretation--just my understanding--is that the 3 green zones were initial focused efforts to see how well they could do in small areas. By the sound of it that went very, very well and now I think the goal is to make the whole island a green zone. I hope that helps.

At the hotel where i am currently staying in Permuteran , North Bali the hotel workers were all vaccinated last week. Also in Candidasa last week workers vaccinated. I think the government is doing the right thing, better to vaccinate workers who come in contact with many others. As a expat I can wait a little longer, continue to social distance, mask and isolate

Thanks, great to hear that the effort is island-wide now. It's moving in the right direction.

I've had my vaccine and ready to get back to Bali, but not interested interested in going to limited areas in some sort of lock down especially when I can go elsewhere and be free.
@bettyboop74263 жыл бұрын
Hopefully there are strict tests for tourists as Astra vaccine is only 60%effective&the variables spread quickly. I would happily stop in Sanur and stay in Ubud as whilst I am the opposite of health junky,I do love a health retreat there. I think it is dangerous to be too heavily tourist focussed&many have gone back to seaweed farming. I have heard mixed reviews on hospitals in Bali&in future would like to spend long length if visa is user friendly,however I'm quite introverted&dislike Kuta. Hopefully,there will be travel bubble with Oz soon,cheers&thanks

australians will never be travelling freely again the way things are going, gave up their freedoms too easy, can't leave country without an exemption and already they've said nothing will change even with their poison vax
