But there was a frame where he shows the Ottomans hold it, which is wrong, since Mani was an evolution of the Despotate of Morea, being the last military district of Morea surviving, the Toparchy of Maina (there were about 11 Toparchies). At most the Ottomans occupied Upper and Middle Mani in the war of 1480-1493 AD, but were defeated and ousted.
