I remember taking this gnarly rollercoaster wipeout while surfing. I knew I was headed to the After Life when I suddenly heard this voice, like at the start of am amusement park ride: "Please remain living until life comes to a complete stop." I ragged-dolled a little more and then surfaced. Every time this song comes up, I think of that near death message from... I don't know where. Anyway... Thx, Wave... Potter, that is!

Hey Mate, Mediac present, yes Kanami in the presentation of the album said he would be happy to see the cover of After Life, the solo is very technical and precise divided into four parts with touch on the harmonics, light legato, double slaid, scale I think classic style, I'll try, Malmsteen uses them, finished with a legate and pentatonic. then in the pre chorus I love the riff below with mini solo introducing the chorus, a genius and I think it is an example of how to write a great piece, heavy / metal / pop? i don't know how to define it. Super Maid, but my favorite remains "The Not Fictions Day"

I think you found your format.... Watch the video's first run without pausing, then doing a second run with your spontaneous analysis. That was really cool. Saw your live stream on the weekend.... shame YT dumped you twice. You really are starting to evolve as a live streamer..... and you didn't need Rosie to keep you in check this time...lol.

Here is a link to an article about Akane's drum kit (since 2020). drumsmagazine.jp/player/kit-akane/ It's in Japanese but you can have a close look at the photos of her drum kit. The details of the Drum kit she uses is as follows: 【Drum Kit】 TAMA STAR Bubinga 22"×16"BD、10"×7"TT、12"×8"TT、16"×16"FT 【Snare Drum】 LUDWIG Black Beauty 14"×5" 【Cymbals】（L→R） ZILDJIAN 14" K Bottom HiHat（Top）＋14" K Top HiHat（Bottom）、 18" A Custom Projection Crash、 20" K Custom Hybrid Ride、 18" S Trash Crash、 19" A Ultrahammered China For the double bass drum pedals, she uses DW-9002 but she has replaced the drive shaft with a Pearl Z-link Universal Joint. Note: When you look at the photo, don't forget to click the small 3 dots underneath the photos. They will show photos of the drum kit from the back and a closeup of her pedals.

Her current kit is a Custom Tama Star Classic Bubinga painted to match Asuka’s colors from Evangelion. Her previous kit was a Custom Sakae Almighty Maple kit in Red and pink sparkle. Sakae built all off Yamaha’s high end drums until Yamaha moved everything to Chinese manufacturing. She went from a Sakae artist to Tama when Sakae went bankrupt.

Mincho said she wants people to cover this song, and she also said it is not too technical😁 Btw, if you want to cover the dance part, here is the dance lesson by A-chan: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGOqqHmjjpxkbrs Lastly, here is an interpretation of the locker room scene by some Maidiacs: The first angry maid is Miku, the second one is Mincho, the third one came in was A-chan, the fourth one is MISA, and then the last one is Saiki. First three wear maid outfits, but the last two wear dark and non-maid outfits. To me, this interpretation is quite plausible👍

ARIGATO for the nice reaction!! AKANE is my favorite drummer. There are many talented drummers in japanese female bands. For example, MURATA TAMU(NEMOPHILA), HANA(GACHARIC SPIN), MARI(MARY'S BLOOD), etc. I like NATSUME of RAISE A SUILEN(RAS). NATSUME appeared in the drum commercial of ROLAND "V-Drums TD-17KVX-S". RAS are all talented musicians. Other member are RAYCHELL(vo, bass), RIKO(guitar), REO(key), RISA(DJ). New live performance "SOUL SOLDIER"(live) was released at 08/13. Please watch this song. So powerful!! RIKO's guitar solo is awesome.

The music video fits this song perfectly. It is interesting that the predominant color there is green, just like in the location "Afterlife" in the game Cyberpunk 2077. (somehow I associated it, I don't know why)

Not exactly in this one, as far as I understand. It's a chain, @home cafe. And it's quite extensive. So, it's like to say "John worked in Walmart," and then to see Walmart next to your house and say, "John worked here."

@@keithsowerby8179 That cafe in Kumamoto was not @home cafe, if I remember correctly. I have to re-watch that Kumamoto tour video again, to refresh my memory... @home cafe where Miku worked, was in Tokyo, at Akihabara. I haven't seen any interview yet, where somebody would ask Miku whether the cafe shown in After Life MV is the actual one where she worked. Maybe because this MV was actually filmed in some school or something, @home cafe appears there only at the beginning.

Maybe this has been mentioned before but you have checked out the channel "Jbf Music & Guitar"? He is a guitar instructor and he maybe the only guy who interrupts Band-Maid videos more than you. :-) He just did "No God". Marvously detailed analysis followed with demos of the guitar techniques used by Kanami and Miku.
