Désolé de réagir si tard mais pour moi ce morceau est une MasterPiece !!!! Je me demande comment on peut arriver à pondre un tel morceau rempli de rebondissements et de prouesses techniques tout du long. Chapeau Kanami !!! .. Personnellement, je l'avais découvert dans l'autre sens ... D'abord l'instrumental, puis ensuite la version avec les vocaux ... Entre les deux, Je me suis vraiment demandé comment on pouvait poser sur ce genre de morceau une voix ... et en fait ça passe !!! La voix n'arrête pas de rebondir aussi ... Peut être pas le morceau le plus facile à écouter de Band-Maid, mais assurément un coup de génie !!!

*"Giovanni"* is the main character in a 1927 fantasy novel by Kenji Miyazawa (宮沢 賢治). I absolutely love this; the whole "Unseen World" album is a masterpiece. It is too progressive for some but I think it is brilliant. The original recorded version is on the Band-Maid channel under "Releases" in the "Unseen World" playlist. It is track 10.

I always am so surprised at MIKU's talented harmony singing in every Bandmid songs, which makes SAIKI's voice deeper and deeper, so as to SAIKI and MIKU harmony is beatiful.

@@K.H.D710 Thanks- I already watch his channel and gaijin guys but had missed this one. Shame they only heard the album version and didnt do the intrumental with it- he did mention he couldnt make out what Kanami was doing :) Its almost impossible to fully make sense of this track till after youve heard both versions.

Giovanni is a character from a Sci Fi novel in Japan in the sixties, the song relate a key event that happen almost at the end of the story. This song and Sayonakidori show some of the cultural extent that Miku has to write their lyrics.

This song is a just roller coaster. It changes constantly from 90 bpm at regular time and half time to 180 bpm at double time, and it also changes from 8th note feel to 16th note feel. In places like the interplay after the 1st chorus, it is easy to lose track of the basic 4/4 time as the snare syncopated to 8th and 16th note off-beats.

In the album where Giovanni is found -- Unseen World -- Band-Maid also released an entire Instrumental album. So every song in the Standard version has an instrumental only version. :)

The official "the unseen world" music score book came with a instrumental CD, there is so much surprises in each songs that were burried in the mixing of the original studio version.

The second video you did was one on a DVD/Blu-ray that came with a special edition of "Unseen World" It, like others they have done, is set in a white room with 5 videos for each song, one focused on each member and one that shows the entire group. There is also an instrumental CD of that came with the Unseen World Scorebook. Nice reaction.

Instrumental version is good for reference, but it's still in song structure. The online performance wasn't the best, but the vocals became really powerful since then. I'd love to hear a live version if they played it during the tour.

Cher Mida! Bonjor sous le Mont Fuji enfin couronne de blanc! Giovanni est l'un de leurs morceaux sous-estimes qu'elles ont de temps en temps joue durant leur tournee actuelle au Japon pour leur 10eme Anniversaire de leur fondation. Cette version est un "online live" pour leurs fans durant le covid quand les concerts publics n'etaient pas autorises. Il ne plait pas a certains fans infantiles (jeu de mots voulu) mais a enormement de succes aupres des reacteurs! Le probleme est qu'il te reste plus de 140 chansons a verifier, parce qu'aucune d'elles n'est un echec! Giovanni existe aussi en instrumental avec d'autres morceaux enregistres sous la demande de leurs fans, un morceau qui reflete bien l'education musicale classique et de jazz de trois d'entre elles! T'as pas fini, je t'assure! Bien amicalement, Robert-Gilles NB: Durant leur instrumental c'est peut-etre leur formation originale, mais cette derniere n' a dure que quelques mois avant que Saiki soit recrutee. Leur morceau instrumental differe beaucoup de la version chantee parce que Miku participe a plein temps sur la guitare rhythmique pour la simple raison qu'elle a fait des progres de geant apres l'avoir pratiquee seulement 9 ans a partir de zero. Bon, Kanami des le debut lui avait promit qu'elle lui l'enseignerai aussi longtemps que necessaire. Maintenant lorsque Kanami ecrit un nouveau morceau elle ne fait plus de fleurs a Miku qui s'y met sans rechigner quelque soit la difficulte. Quand tu realies qu'elle harmonise en permanence avec Saiki, c'est pas courant!

Shame you did some random live instead of the album version but its a great song- it does take a few listens tho unless this is already your kinda music
