This wasn't Yokohama Arena, but I could see how you could mix them up with the purple lighting, but you can see that it doesn't have the center catwalk and stuff. More normal stage. This was from the spin off show that had a lot of the stuff they didn't get a chance to play at Yokohama.

And can we all just appreciate a band that has so many good songs that they have to do extra concerts (which sell out) just to do their "B-sides"?!?! WITH specially written intro's?!?! I mean JEEZ ladies.
@daaaaaave7 күн бұрын
@@stevehall5128 Also, try to learn and memorize a Band-Maid song, with how much they switch things up and don't actually reuse anything verbatim, and multiply that by like 50 or whatever, to be able to play 33 at Yokohama and their spin off set. It's impressive on memorization alone how they're able to keep so many songs in rotation.

This is a DEEP CUT; their catalog is unsurpassed in depth, breadth, and the highest quality compositions in all of rock, period, end of story, finito. This band is IT, the band I have been waiting my entire 73 yrs for and didn't know it. Every cut is astonishing in the writing, the excellent playing, the FUN, geez thieir music is so much FUn, besides being technically brilliant. I've run out of superlatives

Some Band-Maid songs do sound quite simple/easy to play. But, when you start to look into a song in detail, it's a can of worms. It's usually fine until you get to the first transition, which then takes you a day to work out, before even trying to play it. Hive mentality is what comes to mind- they just know what each other need.

That bass tone in the intro! I’ve only heard that tone once before… by Chris Squire. Fitting company for Misa! I think she can only be compared to the best of the best at this point.

Rock mate! Greetings from an old French geezer in Shizuoka City under the caring gaze of snow-capped Mount Fuji! First of all, subscription gladly done! This piece, "Honkai/Honesty in Japanese" was first released in 2021. The remarkable thing is that they did not leave these "old" tunes in their place but constantly build on them in live concerts such as for "Hate?", "Don't you Tell Me", "Choose You", and many more coming up with far more intricate and evolved songs every time they perform onstage. They are not afraid of digging out all songs for a refreshing rendering. I know a lot of vaunted jazz artists who would be hard put to emulate them! To give you an idea of their constant work, they performed no less than 94 songs/versions onstage live in the sole year of 2024! Try to beat that! Incidentally, I just discovered you and plan to run through your reactions! Better late than never! LOL Best regards, Robert-Gilles Martineau

This spin off show was streamed on the Zaiko website, and it was just a blast from start to finish (as you'd expect). I can't remember how many times I watched it (7? 8?) but it wasn't enough). You can never have too much of the maids.
@philcalvino8847 күн бұрын
This is why live. Honkai was cool enough on Unseen World, but with all the creative additions on the spin-off, it's mind-blowing. Recently, the engineers have upped their game & you can really start to hear everything. BTW, in case anyone hasn't gotten the Epic Narratives release that comes with the Blu-ray of the 2024 Day of Maid okyuji on it, I have two words: get it. The concert is staggering -- more of the same live brilliance and excellent mixing.

@Kissthetoad3215 күн бұрын
Misa and Akane form a world-class bass + drums rhythm section. Add Miku, a solid rhythm guitarist, and you have the best rhythm section currently in rock. And that's not all because there is Kanami, a talented guitarist and genius composer, and Saiki, one of the best Japanese singers who, with Miku, creates perfect vocal harmony. Band-Maid may not be the best rock band in the world, but they are undoubtedly one of the best and prove it in every live performance. Thanks.
