Saiki writing the happy song this time. It's called "Magie" (Magic) but I think you know that by now. 😁

There's the elements in the music, especially the chorus which Japanese audience of every generation can relate to. That's the traditional Japanese summer festival sound. It's programmed in every Japanese's gene. 😂 Basically Saiki's singing flute part in the chorus. I can visualise young girls in Yukata jumping to this nostalgic tune (chorus). It's an ultimate West meets East (both old and modern) song. When I first heard this song in November last year I never thought I'd enjoy it, but the more I listen to this song the more I like it, edging towards "loving" it. I can't help it, the chorus sounds very nostalgic to my Japanese ear. Now I can't get the chorus out of my head.

Hi BG, All I can say about "Magie" is, "Ow. ow, ow!" My body is paying the price for getting up and moving like a maniac (Sorry, Maidiac) during this song." My back, my knees, my old ass is hurting from this. Crap, I need to go soak in a tub!

Even if I didn't know that Saiki-san wrote the lyrics, I would've figured it out. She's not as poetic as Miku-chan. Still brilliant lyrics, however.

Band-Maid is clever. Saiki isn't poetic, but this lyrics is perfect for the song. Miku's lyrics are poetic, motivational and meaningful, but when the same person writing lyrics it's inevitable the lyrics start to sound similar. It's good to have 1 Saiki-written song or two on each album.
