I don’t know for a fact what’s going on with SU but it seems like the musicianship or the arrangements aren’t there. This is coming from a NOLA native and band head that went to his first Bayou Classic as a lil shorty in the 70s. This is not what I’m accustomed to from the JukeBox!!! Something has the change!!!

I'm not sure what's going on with Southern these past few years, but it just doesn't feel the same. This year, I can only give them a low B-if not a high C-because they have been lackadaisical. Even with the mistakes, JSU just executed cleanliness more than Southern.

I'd go as far as to say that Jukebox media might need some new audio gear which produces the highest quality sound. At times it sound crystal clear and most times it's giving a flat sound and I know the Jukebox be blowing. Other media teams are providing higher quality audio. To appreciate the band you must be there in person.

@@Chimalayas2001 JSU has different “types” of power SU just have sound. At the boombox SU could be felt real shit. But JSU need tubas bad if they had bout 8 more they would be real f’n killers. But JSU has the arrangements over SU that cater to their strengths, the finesse over SU, JSU upper brass and woodwinds superior over SU and I feel even with the euphos JSU low brass ain’t no slouch. SU sound worst than they did at the boombox. I don’t see that getting better in 2 weeks. Not the way JSU sound JSU coming for blood on the 7th. SU has not play one arrangement this year that will be memorable. Not one! Todd needs to polish that Maybach music up and pull that back out.
