I am a Thai, and I live in Bangkok. I find this joke pretty funny. This joke dates back decades. A lot of towns and cities in the world do have names that sound downright funny in the Thai language too. We make fun of them, they make fun of us. They exaggerate, so do we. And all lives still go on.

This is funny and Russell is awesome. And just to avoid stigmatisation, these massage parlors exist but only if that's you went for and in touristic areas where the signs already let you guess what you're getting into. Appart from that, no one will ever touch you inappropriately. Thai massage is actually done with clothes on, and it is mix of acupressure and stretches. You can get it for around 10 usd anywhere in Bangkok. They'll also offer oil massage which is similar to a sports or Swedish massage and foot massage which is reflexology. Not everyone in Thailand wants to jerk u off and it is usually a service you pay extra for, in those particular types of places you find in the dirty touristic areas. This was funny but I just though it is nice to inform/educate

Why Thailand is the most visited by Europeans and for their aversion to the opposite sex. 150 years ago France invaded Vietnam Lao and Cambodia. British invaded India and Burma.
