I grow up in China. Got hits from my grandpa sometimes for no reason. I asked him why, His words ‘No why. Just keep you in a good discipline. Making sure you wouldn’t do bad thing.’ So I started to dodge sometimes, cuz I wasn’t do anything bad, but I was still getting hits from him. When I grow up, I joined my first Muay Thai class at Montreal, my trainer told me ‘wow, you r really good at dodging.’ ‘Yeah, well, that’s one of my surviving skills.’

Bulgarians have always been kind to Jews, even during the Holocaust. Thanks, friend.

What i mean is, as long it was accidental, and i honestly showed regret, and i honestly was the first one apologising and trying to fix - i would be ok! ...but.. ... In case i intentionally did something bad, or disrespect, just because of evil, free willing... They would beat the hell out of me!!! Really, really hard! Asian kids are more disciplined than whites cuz the way they have been grinned growing, from respecting elders to their teachers. Especially when Indian kids see their teachers, it’s natural instinct to bow and respect. Trust me I am not even Indian. I used to have Indian friends back then. But god they were really miser. That’s how they have been brought up by their parents I guess.

Respect to your father unfortunately most parents use violence because they don't know how to use their voice or to let out their emotions on kids and call it "discipline" (yes even white parents not saying that all). It sucks how violence is normalized

I'm Italian-Irish. When I was 20, my Italian father slapped me across the face for saying something disrespectful to him. I have one child, a son, and taught him to be empathic and to be respectful towards all people regardless of gender, sexual orientation (his best friend in HS is trans), races, religions, nationalities, etc., but I never hit him. Not entirely sure that was the right call. He's respectful to everyone except me. A little bit of fear when he was younger might have made it easier to discipline him when he was older.
@blackmamba9950 Жыл бұрын
You are a good parent. Hitting your child instills fear, explaining to them why it's wrong is better in the long run is better
@onlypencil Жыл бұрын
@@blackmamba9950 it's not fear of the parent,it's fear of the consequences. As long as there is love to balance the discipline,the fear will always be from the consequence of not following the rules, disrespect or anything that needs that kind of discipline. Of course you don't spank them for everything,only when every other option has failed.
