RBI guidelines ko samajhna bahut mahatvapurn hai taki koi bhi bank aap par galat fees na laga sake. If the amount is credited before bill generation then we have to pay only the net amount but if the amount is credited post the bill generation, it can be counted only on the next bill. That is what HDFC told me.

Need one clarification on interest charge. If bill is paid after 3 or more days from payment due date then is interest applicable only on the unpaid balance from closed statement or it applies to the total balance on card which includes unbilled charges which are yet to be billed on upcoming statement? Are you 100% sure because it also says MITC shall specifically explain that the ‘interest-free credit period’ is suspended if any balance of the previous month’s bill is outstanding.

Right sir, muze SBI Card ne 12,000 Rs penalty charge ki thi... sane transaction refund hua tha due date ke pahale... Bank ko contract kiya to wo agree nahi the, but maine online consumer forum me complaint kiya, to unhone refund kiya.

Currently calls are being received on behalf of AU Bank saying they will be sending 4 benefit vouches (Medical free health full body check-up, JORDAN Gifts watches and shoes, 3-4 nights holiday packages all paid, some discount card !!) to your address but you will have to agree to convert some government taxes to EMI .. they are so rude that they want your confirmation they DO NOT NEED YOUR CONSENT !! They are saying this will be mandatory !! I just hung up on them ... Beware !!

I also received similar call from "ICICI Bank". They said that I would just need to pay Rs. 9999. When I said I don't consent to this gift voucher thing, they were threatening me that if there is any charge added to the card, they won't be responsible. I just said, I will take care and hung up. The weirdest thing was that I got a follow-up call a few months later and I said the same thing. They said the same thing that I am not asking for the consent, I am asking for confirmation. I think this is just a scam.

I have HDFC Bank Savings Max account SO I have done 10 financial transactions in ATM but for that extra 5 transaction the bank charges from my account
