The other big issue with electric cars is the psychological issue of people!People do not have the patients to wait 5 minutes to pump gas, they would go crazy having to wait 45 minutes to charge their car or even longer if they have to wait for a charger!

The issue with the EPA is the harm they are causing to the trucking industry in terms of lost or down time with trucks going into limp mode or the emissions equipment breakdown and trowing codes that takes the truck out of service! In the long run we the customers have to pay for this in everything we buy! The EPA should have come up with a system that works and doesn't breakdown all the time and that supports long engine life, long before they mandated the changes be made to diesel engines, but that wouldn't happen because the whole thing was politically driven by idiots that really don't know the issues and what needs to be done! The EPA needs to be put on hold and someone like these guys need to instruct them on what is good and bad for engines, what would help and what wouldn't to prolong engine life, what kind of equipment is needed to work the system that won't break down all the time! What I guess I am saying is the EPA needs engineering not politics!

I can attest to the air in/air out thought. I've only installed the intake, boost tubes and the 5" Monster exhaust on my 2018. The power, mileage and driveability are remarkable. It's the wife's truck, and she says she don't want the tuner. She's getting it all. I'm setting up a slush fund for the tickets to come. I absolutely love Gale's research and subsequent developement of his products

Does putting a short tube that exits in front of rear wheel help or is the bends cause an issue with flow? What about a dual DEF back help? Could you create a higher Efficiency aftermarket DEF system? One thing you were talking about was talking about people pumping tons of fuel and clogging up DEF….i know tow truck and various other completely stock trucks having issues with emissions systems and having a lot of downtime and they spent more money than the truck is worth to keep it compliant. If you and other companies create better emissions products and compete with the manufacturers the products will come down in price due to competition. I would love for you to work with GMC and create the Banks Edition 3500 HD. Focus on efficiency and reliability with fun tunes as well 😊

I have always wondered how clean a mechanical diesel injection could be made to run with a modified pump that had computer controlled timing and fuel metering. Then the motor could still run at mechanical default settings.

What I would like to see on the flow bench is to use colored water instead of air. This way you could see where there are air damns in the runners, and how fast the air/water moves through the runner, meaning does it move faster on the floor the center, or the ceiling of the intake/exhaust runner. You cant see the air or the turbulence.

Just look at the manufacturers today...they have 700 HP gas engines and they are clean. How amazing it takes hundred's of trillions of the publics money to get them to sit down and excel at something vs. just make what works for today. This is where diesel is today, SCR, DEF, DPF, EGR blah blah and all the things bad for a breathing engine like they did for gas engines starting in 1972 forward. Diesel will go through the same dumb slow process before the engineers are told to clean them up via computers and internal sensors vs. the add on hardware that is plain stupid, expensive and unreliable and expensive to maintain. Once they go electric...this same process will be focusing on the power production facilities and of course how the Government will tax the crap out of power every step of the way. For most of those wondering, there's no shortage of power or clean power, but there is a shortage of power management just like California has a shortage of water. Well, it seems to be more of a shortage of water management and too many new building permits being issued. You just can't grow as a state and not increase supply or at least manage it better but they will always try to sell us on the fact that people use too much and then raise prices in the name of that idea vs. accept the real problem that they are failing the public in supply and efficiency !

"Clean them up with electronics and sensors"? Where have you been the last 20 years? That's the reason Cat pulled out of the OTR game.
@Garth2011
@Garth2011 2 жыл бұрын
@@robby844 Yes, CAT pulled out because they told the EPA they could pass their engines without the DPF which is a huge restriction to those engines and hinders longevity in the least. The EPA told CAT no way, every diesel has to have DPF etc. That's why they pulled out...the cat engineers didn't want to suddenly watch their engines lifespan get cut in half or more and deal with the B.S. repairs/warranty complaints of those add-on contraptions. So, they had options, and went off road only and pretty much the EPA was told to stick it.

The 2014 Grand Cherokee with the 3.0 diesel has been reflashed at the dealership. The pedal response is terrible since then. It is dangerous in my opinion. If you need to get out of the way nothing happens when you step on it quick until it hits half throttle and then it launches. The lag is just terrible and dangerous.

Loved listening to both you guys you're both Automotive geniuses! This is the thing that erks me why doesn't the manufacturer offer a lifetime warranty for the emissions equipment since it's like $6,000 to replace it and it will go out???? That's what pisses everybody off that I know we don't want it on there but if we have to have it and it's guaranteed to go out before you get rid of the truck then at least cover it for many many miles out

There is technology available to day to reduce pollution on coal powered power stations and on cars trucks motorcycles and so on but the government's of the world are not interested!this technology reduces pollution on diesel engines by 98 percent straight off when the technology is fitted to the exhaust system.and no add blue needed to clean exhaust system.cost 20' dollars per unit and about 5 million dollars to start this technology off and 1 to 3 years to come to the road ! this technology has Federal creditation done in the USA about 15 years ago but nothing from the governments of the world and the car industry because thay didn't think of the technology that didn't won't to pay for it and this is why we the people of this world haven't got this technology on our cars !trucks ! motorcycles and everything else that has a I C E to power it ????
