Mercy in Action!!!! Praise God. Just as the book of James says: For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. James 2:26 I remember what you said, Fr. Chris: Mercy is a mode of love that when it encounters suffering, it does something about it. May all of us practice the ABCs of Mercy. If all of us, Catholics, believe that we were (already) born again THE BIBLICAL WAY when we were baptized, no one would leave The Church. We pray that God's Infinite Mercy flow through your Ministry, Fr. Chris. Thank you so much!!!!

I was Baptized in 1983. IN 1987 I went through RCIA in Ironton at St. Joseph Church. That was the first Mass I ever served as an altar server too (This was unusual, as I found out later). The next year Monsignor Yonk confirmed me with the rest of my class at St. Joseph High School.

Thank you very much Rev.Fr.Chris for enlightening us about Baptism. . Nermine is an amazing person and her story is very inspiring .God bless her endeavors. When I hear such stories I always remember these words "I shall pass through this world but once, whatever good I can do, let me do it now for I shall not pass this way again. " I pray daily "Lord help me to discern Your plans for me. Give me the wisdom and strength to carry out Your mission. Thank you very much Jesus Amen "

Baptism! How truly grateful we are to Jesus who initiated this sacrament for us to become a member of His Body, the Catholic Church. No one can remove the imprint on our soul as a follower of Jesus, washed,sanctified and endowed with supernatural gifts of faith, hope and charity. Thank you, Fr. Chris, for giving us more light in understanding the sacrament of baptism which is very important for our salvation. Thanks also to Nermine for her great humanitarian work in Africa, caring and supporting the needs of the people both body and soul, a genuine manifestation of love and mercy from the heart of Jesus which gushed forth blood and water in atonement for our sins. Thanks to Fr. Joe Roesch for taking us back to Lourdes and to Bro. Alex for the readings. Thanks to the Marian family and may God continue to bless you.

I had a friend that always told me she didn't baptize, her children, because she wanted them to choose when they grew up. I use to tell her how can they chose if they have no foundation. I believe one of them got involved with a cult for a while. Neither of her children are religious, much to the distress of my friend's father a minister. Viva Cristo Rey!

Re water supplies in Africa. CAFOD, [the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development in England and Wales, affiliated to Caritas International] supports the sinking of well in Africa to provide easily accessed clean water to village communities. This also indirectly improves the peoples educational prospects. That is because without the wells, teenagers would often be sent to the nearest water supply, often several hours round trip, and therefore restricting their access to education and training.

Thank you Father. I hope to hear you speak or clarify on the Baptism of Desire and of Blood. I have never heard of such things. My niece left the church after she was married & never had her children Baptized. I did state to my sister that she should bless her grandchildren with Holy Water in the name of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit but I don't think she ever did. Is there any hope for the children?

We cannot say without knowing the circumstances because baptism is so critical for salvation. However God's mercy is greater than any lack on our behalf so we pray and hope. God bless you

Well father born of the water is different than being born of the spirit first step to our Salvation you must be born of the water you must be born of the water he must be born of the water and the spirit the second is the spirit the nuns told us when we were little you're going to get saved today when the bishop comes in and confirmed you with oil close your eyes and repent of your sins and ask Jesus to come into your heart so we did it and when we woke up we were all weeping we felt different and we were different First Step baptism of water Second Step At The Age of Reason which we were taught is 7 not 12 like the Protestants were taught we make a decision for Christ the nuns old school nuns always use the word saved do you want to get saved they taught us how they pointed to the blood of Jesus and they said you need to go through the blood you have to repent and ask Jesus to come into your heart this is born of the spirit and the Bible also calls it born again then there's a third step faith without works is dead not faith without love is dead without works is dead now your salvation it's not just baptism father the scripture says both water and the spirit water removes the stain of death being born of the spirit your decision to serve God it says water and the spirit born of water and the spirit the third part to our Salvation is good works without it you cancel your faith old school nuns in their garments of holiness taught us if you want to go to heaven you have to accept Jesus and invite him into your heart second step all three steps are necessary it doesn't say baptism only it doesn't say born of the spirit only it doesn't say Good Works only the Holy Scripture says we need all three born of the spirit the scripture saying must be born of the water you must be goodworks you must have or your faith is dead
@markp2023 Жыл бұрын
Yes father the Scriptures say water baptism does 3 things to you one it says it regenerates and there are two other things it does which are in the holy book did you know there are about 268 trees in the holy book also I was a little surprised that you didn't bring up limbo oh yes limbo is real the pagans would put symbols on their children's clothing and pointed caps they created according to my Catholic Bible in Catholic dictionary cremation to try to destroy the resurrection it is a paganistic ritual holy scriptures say they even went so far as to even burnt the bones the old school nuns and Priests taught us never to be cremated a disrespect of the body an invention that is not in our holy book put in the book of pagan rituals that's why they believe in symbols symbols are dead they have no life I don't remember any of the nuns or priests ever talking about symbols to us when it came to religion the Protestants love that word everything that comes out of their mouth is symbols or symbolic that's why they don't believe in Holy Communion because according to them it's a symbol then why do they eat the communion bread which to them is a dead meal and why do they baptize if it's dead the word symbol should never be associated with the scriptures Jesus appeared to me one time and he said I am the Bible if Jesus has the Bible nothing symbolic is in the Bible

Let's start off by saying that he is correct on the fact that baptism saves us. We NEED to be baptized!!!!! 1. 1/2 the "sacraments" are not found in God's Word. Please provide chapter and verses for all of them. 2. In the video the equate baptism with sprinkling. In God's Word there are three separate Greek words for baptism. One is immersion, one for pouring, and one for sprinkling. I can get those words if anyone wants them. These cannot be confused because only ONE of them saves...IMMERSION!!! Romans 6:3-10 I don't really understand him. He shows sprinkling, but he says buried in baptism, and then points to scripture showing baptism as a water burial. 3. He says that baptism washes away original sin. There is no such thing as original sin in God's Word. Ezekiel 18 for one!!!! 4. I like that he shows tons of scripture that shows we are commanded to be baptized. He is correct on this topic. But he is wrong on the mode of baptism. See #2 5. He is wrong on Acts 2:38-39. It just means that the promise is for those alive then and to everyone that will be born after. It is a common expression used back then and even today. 6. He uses the jailer to justify infant baptism. He can't. We don't know the ages of anyone and to assume they were infants is just an assumption. Same with the household of Stephanas. 7. Then he equates Catholic tradition to God's Word. Rev. 22:18-19 along with a ton of other verses say that God's Word wins over any man-made work. That was just the first 7 minutes of the 30 min. video. Please read God's Word for yourself!!!!!! executableoutlines.com/topical_series/church-jesus-built/
