I recognize myself. I have started a project and finished it 50 Years later.

For me it is more, no matter how good I get I am never good enough to be successful. this is due to a narcissistic mother and several types of childhood trauma.

Thank you for this video. I have never thought about connection of these two habits. Now, it seems so obvious.

I feel my procrastination and perfectionism the most when when creating a new piece of artwork. I may have the canvas ready to go, but I have a hard time getting started, and more importantly knowing when to stop. Your clues about the 80/20 rule will be very helpful when doing projects in our condo or making travel plans with my husband. We are pretty good on coming up with a plan and strategy, and we can agree on what we want to accomplish or where we want to go. However, I get frustrated when things don't come together fast enough for my expectations, and he would rather not start the project or book the travel until all the slow and time consuming things are in place.

I suffer so much from being a new mom & wanting to be the perfect mom that everyone admires but then I get so overwhelmed with all I want to do that I just can’t do anything. I am constantly worried about what other people think of me as a mom & if I’m ruining my child for life lol. I have just come across your channel and will definitely be binging! Thanks so much for your knowledge and wisdom ❤️

Thank you so much for this share .. Its really helpful. I recently acknowledge (yesterday) that I am perfectionist. It has affected my work cause I am always procrastinating. It has affected my friendships, family and romantic relationship cause I am always quick to feel the need to isolate myself from to time. It took an inquisitive partner who unearthed how I am seemingly strict on my standards, I took time to look deep within and discovered it is all due to my perfectionist personality. This video will and the below resources will be very helpful !!

I get so caught in unimportant details probably due to my ASD trait. I need to perform cognitive reconstruction to unstuck myself but it's really hard.

What about the opposite of perfectionism where all you want to do is the minimum to get by and are intimidated by doing more? 🤷

That 80/20 doesn't seem helpful - We rush to do the first part, then the last part takes longer? Why? And then we decide the last 20% we drop off? I don't see how that applies to how, for example, I'm going to slog through 6 hours of documentation at work.

How do you stop it, when you’re a Virgo and it’s who you were born to be?
@daneenmelanson701111 ай бұрын
You were not born to be a perfectionist or a procrastinator. You were born to be a human being and have a human experience. Perfectionism & procrastination are learned behaviours and have to do with anxiety! You must release yourself from these limiting core beliefs 💗 if you do believe heavily in astrology, I suggest that you instead focus on the strengths of your sign and change your beliefs about who you were born to be. Wish you all the best & God bless 💗

Are you admitting you are not responsible for yourself?
@КалинаВ050511 ай бұрын
These two are so debilitating and usually the modern way of life and the society do not help either. Instead they exacerbate the anxiety around doing everything faster, more efficiently and so on. Even the moto of many companies is related to this idea of being more efficient, almost like a machine. So dehumanizing. I guess the change in any society begins from the change in every one of us. :)
