Finally someone nailing a take on this topic. I've witnessed the entire left go see Barbie and come out saying "Its actually really good".. and it always makes me deeply uncomfortable. The jesters privilege is the perfect "metaphor", if you can even call it that when It's literally the same thing.

I really enjoy it, but I’m autistic, and also could be way off base… your subject matter, research, editing is all top notch, and again, I think it’s a good thing for me personally, but I think for other people you might want to try looking at the camera more. I realize you might also be reading notes or something important but idk just making a suggestion. I like the lack of not actually there but perceived eye contact while watching you talk, but I know when I’m watching other video essayists they look a lot more, and so I put my phone down and side eye it more 😅😅😅
