I actually watched this (it's so bad, but I couldn't stop watching) and the thing that really bothered me is how little punishment Tinnfany got for all she did to Selene. She hits her multiple times, sets her up to get sexually assaulted by Jackson, then tries to kill her! And her punishment for all that is just banishment, like Kurtis said. These wolves have their own law, apparently, but no death penalty for the attempted murder of an alpha's mate? Surprising Edit: Another shifter story I read had the punishment be stripping them of their wolves and forcing them to live as (gasp) humans. But then again that story also had the death penalty for trying to kill the alpha.

From what I know of this genre of story, given I was obsessed with it for a couple years in high school, the random “reading minds” thing at the end was definitely supposed to be a reveal of the soul bond between Selene and Alexander. It’s a very common plot point in these stories that those in souls bonds can speak to each other in their minds. There’s also usually some mind speak that happens between non-mates when everyone is in wolf form, so that they can still communicate, lol

Just want to provide some insight as a working actor who has done about three of these (only as small roles)…the actors doing these absolutely know how bad they are. Unfortunately, these are some of the only decent paying non-union work available since the actor’s strike last year. As a lead, you can make up to $4,000 in one week (yes these are all filmed in a week) and that’s really enticing for a lot of actors. They also pump out SO many of these, and like to cast the same people over and over again, so it’s consistent/good money. Hollywood is hell for working actors at the moment and these are the kind of projects people resort to doing. (Like I’ve said, I’ve done a few myself) All of the scripts for these verticals are written by AI in Chinese and THEN translated to English. That’s why the language of the lines and the plot lines are so terrible. I suspect the “Tinfany” was and AI typo but they stuck with it because the Chinese companies are very particular about sticking to the exact wording of the lines. They also encourage bad acting on set. They’re constantly asking their actors to “go bigger” and “be more dramatic” even when it looks ridiculous and doesn’t make sense to the situation. They also mainly cast based on looks. Doesn’t matter how bad/good of an actor you are, if you have the look, you often get cast over people who are better actors but not be skinny/pretty enough. That being said, I think there are actually a lot of good actors out there doing these, because some of these lines are hard to do with a straight face. Anyways, that’s my two cents and insider knowledge on all the verticals on apps like ReelShort.
