Where do I start? Great to hear you are going for a more positive attitude this year. Hope you make it because listening to nothing but complaints does get wearing after a while. Soho has always been an overly expensive, rip off dump. I lived in Tottenham Court Road for a year or so and it was fantastic but Soho was one of the places I kept away from after dark. On your last point about the cops. I could not agree more and strangely, I made reference to exactly your point just a week ago in a chapter of story I am writing. About two days later I got another example of it. Walking down the road I saw three kids. One, who was about eight years old, who began kicking door panels on cars. He and his pals ran off when I shouted at them and I called the cops and told them what had happened and where the kids were hanging out. Cop on the phone: OK. I will get a car to drive past and take a look. It will be about 15 minutes. Me: Well, let's all hope the kids hang around for fifteen minutes then, shall we. Cop: What would you like me do? Send a car with it's lights flashing right now? I mean, kicking car door panels is hardly an emergency is it? Me: It is for the poor buggers who work hard for years to pay for the car that costs them between ten and fifteen grand. I think coming out of work to find some little shit has kicked in the door panel is quite a big emergency. What is more, if you did your jobs and frightened the shit out of the little sods that did it -- and their parents -- maybe they will not grow up to become armed robbers. Of course, I realise that would mean getting out the car and actually walking about and that may break union rules, but you should give it some thought. Maybe hold a conference to to discuss it? Great to see you happy Baron, if your going to Eastern Europe i cant recommend highly enough South East Poland right onthe Ukraine/Poland/Slovakia border. i took my other half to her home town and went around the Bieszczadzki Park was simple stunning, amd the roads were amazing as well. maybe ask jojo,im sure she would know about it. We also drove back through Slovakia & Austria which was all beautiful, my dream is to do it on a bike, as the roads were so nice there, but i dont think my other half could cover that distance.
