I might be looking at it from a functional alcoholic point of view. But like if you drink to that extent your body should have like adapted by now. Like back when I was a pretty bad drinker Id built up killing like a 15 pack or nearly a whole bottle of liquor a night over 3 or 4 hours before bed and still be walking around mostly fine and I acted basically the same as sober just more sociable and I'd be more openly cynical (not like overtly rude or nasty cynical just I didn't bother to pretend I cared about things or that most people arent just self centered which Id try to hide when sober) then when sober and if I didn't have to work Id wake up and start drinking again in the morning. I think work was the only thing that prevented me from full blown dependence tbh.

I've worked for an alcoholic bar owner and it was the worst experience I've had being a bartender. He cared more about getting his drink then the customers getting theirs.
