The music of this movie has the best soundtrack a film has ever had.

I love the 18th century, the fashion, the uniforms of the soldiers, the music, the gentlemen and the nobility, the wars, everything. A charming time indeed. I wish I was there, on the glorious battlefield or at a stunning court. Our modern times is not a proud time to be alive. This score is beautiful, and the movie is a masterpiece with splendid actors.

Meraviglioso motivo. Grande, Paisiello. Questa aria porta via lontano; la fantasia e l'emozione volano.

I just heard this heard this music used during the Queen dining room sequence in Steven Spielberg's "The BFG". I guess he was paying tribute to his friend, Kubrick.
@MrSeekerOfPeace6 жыл бұрын
Spielberg probably admired Kubrick. Considering Kubrick was infamously known for forcing his actors to repeat scenes until they were filmed just the way he wanted. Other directors could only help but admire such perfectionism

This is "Saper bramate", from The Barber of Seville (the Paisiello version, not Rossini's).
@murryjcohen3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that; it's more than Seburnin tells us. It's good to know since the Paisiello version is so rarely heard, and it is very good.
