The video above is the edited version (which was done by CMT [before outright banning the video altogether] after Garth released his Double LIVE album, which allowed everyone to hear the infamous 3rd verse, since radio stations refused to play the extended version of the song) which only plays the first 2 verses of the song which were radio-acceptable, but the video itself still keeps recorded footage from the omitted 3rd verse. The original video had more domestic violence in the 2nd verse before the battered wife retrieves the pistol kept in the dresser drawer & fatally shoots her philandering abuser of an ex-husband (scenes taken from the removed 3rd verse).

Great song, gives me chills every time, feeling the thunder rolling in! “Banned” May refer to the high likelihood of this video being deleted. For as epically popular as Mr Brooks is, his music is notoriously closed lip on the internet. It is incredibly hard to find his songs, sung by him, on YT, or other places bc basically his braintrust goes around and deletes most of them. Even the official videos. So good luck!

The original actually featured the infamous 3rd verse in its entirety, but when everyone got a hold of Garth's Double LIVE album and heard the contents of the 3rd verse, radio stations refused to play the extended version of the song & CMT edited the video footage, cutting out the extra bits of domestic abuse from the 2nd verse & despite modifying the video for the first 2 verses of the song that were radio acceptable, the film still includes bits from the omitted 3rd verse (the gun scene & the bastard husband stumbling backward to the floor after getting fatally shot).

I'm glad yall are diving into history and reacting to hit songs by amazing artists that I got to experience them and appreciate and admire them for the GOATS they were and still are way neck then and see alot of the in concert. Especially legends like Garthe Brooks, George Straight, Brooks and Dunn, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, Randy Travis and many other legends. The 1980s and 1990s Especially were some of the best years for both music and movies. Especially 90s country music. I'm a southern Belle from Alabama so I of course have a great appreciate for what you considered "old" and what you also said "is not the best quality". Honestly your the very first people I've ever heard say that about this song the Thunder Rolls. I mean to us it was PERFECT as is. But I realize yall are younger and have different taste and likes in music. But Garth Brooks and the others I mentioned were the GOATS. And they are considered to be untouchable. It's almost like an insult to even say anything negative about them because they are so highly loved and adored by billions of people. And they are legends still remembered today when alot of the new artists that has come and gone are nowhere still as beloved as the legends of my time because people moved on. I try to not be too biased about the music of my tTim. But then again there are so many millions of people who agree that 90s country and the legends from that Era were some of the best of the best who will continue to be remembered as legends and these little bands nowadays cannot touch their quality of being legends. And I'm not only talking about country music from the 90s but other genres as well. I'm a singer and musician so I have a great love for many genres of music. I even have a few family members who are in the music business. And they are great song writers and singers. My own older cousin is good friends with the legendary Hank Williams Jr. Hank is a great friend of the family. A really sweet down to earth country boy. So yeah I try to not get offended if anybody says anything negative about these legends or how they played their music. But usually everyone who hears them eve if it's for the first time only has positive things to say. But I for one loved Garth Brooks and would not change one single thing about how he did this song. But I appreciate that yall still liked the song in general and the story telling. Country music has many genres in it. Garth Brooks music sometimes has a almost country rock type feel to it sometimes. And he does have many hit bangers yall should check out. There is so many of them but here's a few. IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES, THE DANCE, TO MAKE YOU FEEL MY LOVE, 2 OF A KIND WORKIN ON A FULL HOUSE and many more! Plus try watching him 8n concert when his wife country music singer Trisha Yearwood joins him singing. He always wants her to sing her hit song SHES INLOVE WITH THE BOY. I adore them together. He is so head over hills inlove with his wife. He adores her much. And he holds his heart on his sleeve when he talks about Trisha and what an amazing woman she is. Even after so many years together they are so deeply inlove. I remember seeing them on a talk show before they were even a couple. And I could see how much he adored and loved her even then. But be sure to check out the live version of his music and not the audio because sometimes other men sing his audio and reactors unfamiliar with Garth Brooks voice and how he sings a certain way will not realize its not him like us loyal fans do just seconds after hearing the person sing. It's really hard sometimes to find a Gatth Brooks audio song that is not somebody else singing his music. So your better off watching live performances of Garth Brooks. Just go to other reactors channels and type in Garth Brooks and see which versions they reacted too so you know whoch version to react to on your channel. Your also better watching his live performances at concerts where he sometimes sings 3rd secret verses that only the true Garth Brooks fans are aware of. Or watching him sing at award shows back in the day. His is such a talented singer that he sounds phenomenal live. I've been to his concerts and he is an amazing performer. One of the best. I also met him and got his autograph which was heart fainting experience when he hugged me and we had our picture taken together. Make sure you do the long version cause they did both versions of this song. I think it’s interesting that Garth is playing the cheating husband just cause of how he’s on his second marriage. Garth is one of the greatest of all time! He’s the consummate entertainer. He’s amazing live and can control a crowd in a way very few artists can. I compare it to the legendary Freddie Mercury. I’m proud of my fellow Okie. I got to see him when he wasn’t big in Stillwater Oklahoma. Then again in 98 in Tulsa. You can’t not get excited and cry like you would at a Garth show. This video was controversial at the time because it attacked domestic violence. The cheater in the video is Garth with a beard. Hopefully this video will have the third verse.

I'm not sure what part of the video wasn't of good quality. I've been a Garth fan since the very early days. Garth played the part of the husband, as his alter-ego, Chris Gaines. He was working with Hollywood, at one time, to do a movie as Chris Gaines, but it fell through, for some reason. He did though, release a dvd as Chris Gaines. He remade some of his favorite Rock/Pop songs on it.

IT PROBABLY WAS SOMETHING HE WAS FAMILIAR WITH BECAUSE HE PICKED UP TRISHA YEARWOOD I THINK A LITTLE CLOSE TO THE TIME HIS WIFEY AT HOME TAKING CARE OF HIS DAUGHTERS WHILE HE TRAVELED AROUND AND WAS LOOKING FOR HER REPLACEMENT!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
