I don’t think Guy Mezger gets enough credit for the early days of MMA. He gets overshadowed by a lot of other guys (the Shamrocks, Bas, Royce, Severn, Tank) but I think Guy, as well as a few others, get overlooked a lot.

Fun fact: Guy Mezger once saved a woman being physically abused by her boyfriend. The man had a knife and attacked Guy, but Guy was (obviously) able to restrain him until the cops came. He noticed afterward that the man had severed his hand with the knife. Google "Guy Mezger hand"... it's pretty gross.
