Wheelock speakers (Especially the E Series) are a pain to install, gotta play around with the wiring especially with a deep four square with an extension ring. So prone to causing ground faults and tearing up wiring if you're not careful lol. I still have trouble in the field sometimes with them when we have to install wheelock but I'm getting better. But neat system man! Love the devices regardless, and love the expansion!

@@lspdfrisawesome8972 They're very chonky indeed. I just did some more E70s and E90s again today. I always tape my wire now because that lip on the inside of the extension ring always tears up the wiring LOL. It's such a bad design honestly, I have a closet full of them but they need to get on par with System sensor!

I would rather Intstall a Faraday 5505 Than wheelock E70s and E90s. My dad's job is testing the Sytstems and He Tested a Gamewell System with ET80s That are outside and E50s on the Inside.

I honestly think that having that annunciator makes your system look more better. That includes the voice evac from those Wheelock E70, E50, & E90 speaker strobes. To me, they just seem to fit very well with your system. Maybe not so much with the smokes, probably because they're older than these Wheelock speaker strobes. But the system works well, and that's a good thing! Now, you pretty much have a whole house system, exept most of it is in the basement. But anyway, stay safe, and stay awesome! He used the McDonald's code 3 tone.

I honestly think the annunciator is a great addition to the system. Allows for easier access to basic functions of the system in case of an activation or other problem. Btw the potter EVAX message on the Wheelock Speakers reminds me of my high school’s system. Even though they put in a 4100U they installed an EVAX panel instead of a voice bay which makes zero sense considering the 4100U is literally built for EVAC and mass notification.

I think I saw Wheelock ceiling speaker strobes in a Walmart Superstore which was in Lincolnwood/Skokie IL and what's odd is that a Sam Club in Evanston IL near that Superstore uses Spectralert Advance Horn Strobes (Mostly ceiling mounts). Strange isn't it.
