I got a stainless steel boneyard bar. RogueFitness didn’t even put end caps on the boxes, just packing tape. Pretty sure it was a returned bar as it had chalk on it. Bar had poked through both sides of the box. The edges of sleeves scuffed up. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

I think sometimes the bar is damaged in transit and the deliverer (UPS) tapes it up.

Man, they worked that shaft more raw than a freshman cranking it with Lava soap. I've never seen one where basically entire shaft was back to bare steel.

Yeah ends by the sleeves were really flattened too. I'm assuming it came from their facility gym.

A free barbell from rogue is always a good bar to start your gym with! Fun video and we’ve all been there trying to get those bars out! I use the same method! 😂

I ended up selling the blue one for $150 and throwing the other one in for free just to get rid of it. I'll give my buddy a better quality bar lol.

I was never able too get an opportunity to buy a grab bag, but I have been able to snag a few Boneyard SS OPBs and they are sweet. Kept one avd gave my training partner the other. Happy Liftmas!

I got a Boneyard Pyrros (Stainless/Chrome) for 350, and I couldn't find any blemish or anything wrong with it. I use it for weightlifting, but the narrow shaft and the whip make it great for deadlifts, too. The uncoated knurl is great.

I may roll the dice one of these days. I ended up settling for a crap multi-bar from a different manufacturer during lockdown. I don't lift at home much now but anything with a center knurl or decent outer knurls would be an upgrade.

I got a blue/black cerakote as well. My bars in a bit better condition: shaft is perfect, some scratches on one sleeve. I’m debating keeping it.

Would definitely want to get a grab bag bar if it's available as it would be way cheaper, even if it's used. It's still Rogue and apart from cosmetic scratches, would still useful.

Let's be honest, We knew that any bar that wasn't black, steel, or white would be passed on or sold. If I had the opportunity to buy a grab bag bar I would. I have more than enough bars (2 power bars, my wife's 25mm, and a deadlift bar) but one more wouldn't be overboard. As mentioned, at worst you can flip them on Facebook market at little to no loss.

1 got one grab bag experience. Ohio Bar 28.5 raw shaft or bright zinc. Cheap Echo 2.0 sleeves. Overall looked new, I sold it. For me shipping cost like $60 bucks to Cali. I've had better luck with 3 Boneyard bars.

$140 on the marketplace is more than fair here. Someone just posted a blue cerakote (likely grab bag) bar on the FB marketplace by me for $250 but he's selling it like it's not a grab bag. Got to love the bait and switch hustle to make a buck. Intially looks like a kid selling but is some guy rocking an old kissy face profile pic he posted 9 years ago. You can see some scratches on and around the end stops of the sleeves but only if you look closely. Pics tell very little; any close pics are just different angles of the middle of the shaft... here's that rogue logo and in case you missed it here's a closer pic of that logo... the only photo not of the logo shows the whole bar but has a lot of light reflection and is too zoomed out to tell much but when you zoom in you see some cosmetic issues nonetheless.... You can tell he took the time to crop the photos based on inconsistent photo shapes but did not take the time to take a good photo or list more substantive photos. No end cap pics, implies the bar is/was $400 after shipping and tax with the screenshot of the new unblemished version added to his cart showing the order total (not a receipt of what was actually paid). Chosen condition is like new, even says it costs $400 new and only used twice in the ad's body, no disclosure of any cosmetic damage/defects, he has no marketplace feedback (or is hiding it if you can still do that)..... Got to love the honesty of people... I don't mind the flipping part but don't play games.

Still I'd argue that if he got a $400 bar for $100 in the grab bag, get what you can for it. Making money is not evil, regardless of what the socialists would have you believe. 🤷‍♂
