Stellar review and yes, the editing on the intro was impressive! I appreciate that you perform the movements with challenging loads, as opposed to Coop who seems to use just a single plate for every demo. If you're only using light weight, you don't notice things like having to hold yourself down when you use the leg extension. And a hip thrust with 315 lbs is a more realistic test than one with just 135. Well done mate, you put the real work in!

Excellent review. The FA Hyper Pro is my favorite piece of home gym equipment I have. It is so versatile AND sturdy. I am 5'7", 215ish pounds (moving on down) and I have never felt unsafe on any of the exercises I have tried on the Hyper Pro. The biggest testament to the machine's sturdiness IMO are the side bends. My entire weight is on one side of the machine and I'm rocking back and forth. Despite this, the machine does not wobble one bit. I feel secure throughout the exercise. When it comes to home gyms, I think its easy to overlook lower back strengthening exercises (heck, many folks overlook that in the gym). So many exercises on the Hyper Pro help strengthen the lower back, in addition to working other muscle groups. The leg attachment was an awesome addition. I had been using the leg attachment that came with my Force USA bench for leg extensions and leg curls, but it is limited. First, the leg attachment on the Force USA bench does not adjust for height, putting it in the "I can make this work, but its not ideal" category. Being able to adjust the height and length of the Hyper Pro leg attachment is the main reason I added it even though I had the Force USA leg attachment. Second, being able to do the leg curl in a decline position on the Hyper Pro is better for the natural position of that movement in triggering hamstrings and glutes without compressing your lower back (which is what happens when doing leg curls on a flat bench). All in all, 17 thumbs up for the Hyper Pro.

Yup, that's the one I ordered with the leg piece on back order. They informed I'd get the upgraded version when I get it.
@ShawnFumoАй бұрын
Yeah that’s the version I have as well. I don’t necessarily feel like I need the upgraded regular padding or bigger base, but the new GHD pad attachment is tempting. Might also spring for the leg attachment eventually, but I have a foot weight attachment from tib bar guy that works ok for hamstring curls
@brianshockley816120 күн бұрын
My thoughts: 1. Hip thrusts are ok with bench, but better with this. 2. Interested in the titan ext/curl, but this would be better (I believe so anyway)-I’m concerned about the ankle bar bending overtime (on the titan) 3. I do Nordic curls with a strap on bench, but this is better and can adjust in small increments. 4. Introducing 45degree hyperextension or GHD would be something I would add that I now skip in my workout. 5. Reverse nordics that can also adjust- maybe this is something I would try. 6. Making room for this in my gym (need to create space somehow) 7. Waiting for a sale that could make me pull the trigger (Black Friday maybe?)

@killerkhatiby009Ай бұрын
Honestly a super cool unit and I kind-of want one but can already do all the exercises I'm interested in with my current setup and can't really justify it 😁. But watching this, all I could think of was I wish it was also a bench lol. I'm probably a little crazy, but I envision it with some removable side and front/back pads to make the width and length adjustable to transform it between a traditional bench size/length and wider platform for all the other exercises. Would be great to not also need an adjustable bench and make an extremely compact but highly versatile setup with an all-in-one rack + smith + functional trainer combo unit (like a MAXUM Fitness SX2 or Harbor Heavyweights HH80 v2) and one of these, but I'm sure it's a lot more complicated to do something like that.
@killerkhatiby009Ай бұрын
Oh also make the bottom leg extension part of the leg-developer removable as well. Then add another attachment hook on the underside of the leg curl part and you could possibly then attach it to a low pulley and get cable resistance to maximize tension in the lengthened portion of the leg curl which seems to cause more hypertrophy according to a lot of recent research! It's a minor point since the plate peg is already slightly angled so there is some tension at the start, but it's still not maximized or variable like you could do by attaching to a cable pulley and just adjusting how close/far you are to the pulley to change the initial cable angle and thus resistance.
@ShawnFumoАй бұрын
Yeah, I did attempt to use it as a bench at one point by putting the top pads together but it is awkward.

I'm pretty sure this is not the final revision! There will be a pulley system attachement option, a weight option for reverse hypers and a quality upgrade sooner or later. If FA won't do it, another company will. I'll wait.

Hey, since you usually call out BS on companies, how about calling out BS on Freak Athlete for recently shipping out the Hyper Pro 2.0 version and then immediately turning around and hitting up the same brand new customers for a $400 plus upgrade package to turn their 2.0 version into a Pro version? The cost effectiveness really starts to go way down at that point. Even worse, a key major upgrade goes to safety and the overall stability of the FA Hyper. I call typical corporate BS.
