@@89TNash When I took calc 4 class, the prof was polish guy with a very thick polish accent. From the day1 90% of class started complaining about prof that they can’t understand anything. In the end those 90% ended up with an avg D, majority failing, while the rest got A. Thing is, for those 10% it was a breeze because they focused on learning. So in the end who cares if he’s earning 150k, you’re paying a lot more, so why not enjoy the process and focus on learning and not on teaching style, are you afraid its going to toughen you up? You learn to accept adversity, whether it be in teaching style or anything, you’ll have a much easier time, adapt easily, and also enjoy the process. But I can understand your pain bro, just suck it up and focus on the bigger picture, i mean it is your money at the end of the day 🤷♂️

Note: The nucleus only possesses overall ‘spin’ if only the NUCLEON number is odd. If both the proton number and neutron number are odd, the nucleon number will be even and the nucleus cannot be used for NMR. Great video nonetheless. Thanks.
@harleystachel72254 жыл бұрын
Sorry but this is not right. If both proton and neutron number is odd, the nucleus may posses a whole integer spin eg 14N or 2H

Wow. Most Indian videos confused me. Urs is a good one Can anyone answer me why does proton acquire with or against the magnetic field direction? I mean what is the reason for attaining alpha or beta?
@mallorieblair4 жыл бұрын
I think it's because they're at different energy levels- one is weak enough to have the spin flipped by magnetic field and the other is not.

Why does some of the nuclei move in a direction opposite to that of the applied magnetic field?
@win_cole4 жыл бұрын
Just a wild guess, but I think they only do when the radio-frequency hits them. Atoms in general can only absorb discrete packets of energy, so the nuclei can only flip entirely or not at all (and not, say, half way). If they flip, they have higher energy than the unflipped ones, and want to go back to the lower level of energy (where they are aligned with the external B) and by doing so they release the same radio-frequency they had absorbed. The NMR apparatus registers this last radio-frequency, which is different for every element

Can deuterium show spectroscopy? I mean it has just 1 proton and 1 neutron, so mass is 2 but there is only 1 proton!!
@graggip4 жыл бұрын
You have it wrong about the magnetic property of the nucleus, is not because of the motion. The nucleus is not moving has the electrons do. Is given precisely by the property of the spin itself, up and down cancelled each other. Odd numbers give magnetic moment.

saying that the mass number being odd is a little misleading. the number of protons and the number of neutrons may both be odd then the mass number will be even

Hnnng thank you so much!!!
@DanFrederiksen5 жыл бұрын
Also you write a 11T field. That's very high for an MRI but is that a practical level for a momentary electromagnet in just spectroscopy? or is that just an arbitrary value for the calculation.
