Don’t get me wrong I worked on this film and it is a shame it’s been cancelled but the organisation was very cheap and poor. I e worked in the industry for almost a decade and ten few days I was on location I felt as though they had mainly employed recent graduates to do jobs they were not cut out for. I was helping an old friend who was 2nd AD on it. One of my main memories is this daft young girl with blonde hair and glasses working with the locations department going around barking orders at people. I later discovered she has only recently finished uni. It was a weird set up and was very low budget feeling.

But man, as someone who also works in this industry and was on other DC films, there are always kids who get jobs from connections. On a new Dragon show (which was a shit of a production tbh) we had 19 year old AD's ffs and I am pretty sure on another wet DC film most of the AD's were in their early 20's just graduated from uni.

This sounds pretty crazy and disappointing. Especially as a union A2 in the local IATSE here in LA. I still would have gone to see this if it came out on the big screen. I've also worked with Productions that were poorly ran and had first-timers working on the set that barely knew what they were doing. And I'm talking about Union and non-union. Production companies like to cut corners and suffer the cost and consequences at the end.

It still looks good and something I can see a character wear for the first year as a superhero. It's cheap and homemade but it still looks nice and comfortable. I gotta say, this video kinda validates the cancellation, for me. The positive of what I saw here, is the stunts and pyrotechnics seemed good. Mostly I was impressed with the stunt-gal for Batgirl. She was good in everything she was shown performing. She was athletic and seemed to be doing jumps, leaps and tumbles with very little effort. What a plucky gal to have kept doing it over, and over. The only problem was her damn wig, and the fact that she was too light in skin-tone. Both were off when compared to the main actor playing Batgirl, it just seemed that it would've been an even more obvious difference once seen with the high-def film cameras. What we saw was with low-grade, and her carrot red hair was a stark contrast to what was shown with the main actor. Sorry but the pale white stunt-gal was just no match for Leslie Grace. Maybe they should have sent the stunt-gal to acting school instead? She looks more like the comic version than Grace does . . . The production seen with this footage seems low-ball, too. I get its direct to streaming, but if the Disney+ shows like Hawkeye, The Falcon and Winter Soldier can LOOK like theatrical film quality, then this show should have. The sets seemed cheap, and J.K. Simmons wig looked terrible. Outrageous to go cheap on something like that for a main character! The Firefly suit was also a kind of letdown. Even going with the Batman Animated series design, would've looked better, and still been as cost efficient. I don't know how WB's let this mishap get as far afield as it did. Maybe getting 'Ronald McDonald' to direct was the first mistake??? I feel bad for Brendan Frasier, he would've been good in the role he was cast for, and to see him play a tough villain would have been a surprise performance. 😮

It was decided that the 1994 Fantastic Four movie was not going to be released during production. The cast were never made aware. The only purpose was for the studio to retain the rights. It ended up being leaked on KZbin anyway. For at least 10 or more years all anybody could find of it was screen shots.

Must've been really sad for the cast and crew that their film got cancelled. They put a lot of work into the film all for it to be cancelled They were originally planning to release the film on HBO max as a streaming film since it wouldn’t have been able to compete in the big screen. But.. they decided batgirl 'wasn’t releasable' and would have hurt DC. What would’ve happened if they released the film on HBO like they originally planned? Was the film was going to be any good or not? Guess we'll never know What would've happened if the film somehow got leaked online (hypothetically)? In the future, wonder if they’re going to make another batgirl film

Edit 6 months later: Why couldn’t they just post the film online, on some platform or on KZbin to kind of show us what the film was about, even if they don’t make profit. The film was supposed to take place after The Flash but now, they changed how they do things. Idk how they work things there at DC and WB but couldn’t they label it as an Elseworld, alternate universe, or a non canon event and do some reshoots if needed

Let the fans decide whether it’s a flop or not. It’s 30 years since Michael Keaton has put on the bat suit I don’t know the particulars but I can imagine it took a lot for him to come back. Also it’s not just that I think of all the time that the actors and actresses in the film crew and and to all the people that worked on set etc. maybe if enough people put up a big enough stink about this maybe Warner Bros. will give it a second chance I know I’m just one person but who knows in the entertainment industry I’ve been a Batman fan since 89 I was really looking forward to this is a lot of people are I mean the film is practically done from what I read from articles I hope somebody from Warner Bros. Reads this it’s such a shame hopefully one can hopec Maybe if enough people speak about it online warner brothers may have second thoughts.

I don't get DC fanbase. You created a movement to release the Snydercut and to protest against big studios' tendency to cancel movies and to erase the director's artistic vision to make it more bankable Avengers-like blockbuster. Did you know that WB nearly cancelled Joker for the same reasons ? But now that they do it again with Batgirl, you approve that they throw out the window hundred of hours of work made by hundred of people for a film that was nearly completed.

@@eye4104 Thank you but I always do my research before talking : the test screening was about 60% positive, same score as Shazam 2 and It both which were not cancelled. Plus a single test screening is far from being representative of the whole market reponse like for It which was a critical and financial success. But you're right, laugh and spit on all the work behind this movie while moralizing Warner Bros about the Snydercut. That's what really hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣

We can never be stronger as a nation because people tend to forget what they’re even fighting for. How can people even say, “Oh I was on set, so it was bad?” Get out of here! You haven’t even seen the final product and you don’t even have the full script. Everyone these days thinks a movement is marching to the capital with signs, but a real movement is knowledge of knowing what’s just and unjust. This was an unjust mistake. They could have sold this picture to other sources easily and got their money back. Deleting it though was peer menace. The Batgirl leather suit reminds me the dumb suit choice for the first X-Men movie. It's terrible. Looks like a regular cosplayer. Also the stunts look really silly and unnecessary... I am in the city of glasgow where they where filming and there's an old train station they where filming in and it was called botanic Gardens Station closed in 1939. I was so exited to see the station in a movie but it was scrapped. So sad😭😭😭😭😭😭
