@CFWhitman2 ай бұрын
@@deepthe2972 To be honest, I don't think of _The Dark Knight_ as a very good movie. The plot is all over the place, and the ending doesn't really make sense. Also, the best scene in the movie is when the prison inmate says, 'Give it to me and I'll do what you should have done ten minutes ago,' and then throws the detonator overboard. The best scene doesn't include any of the main characters. I'm not terribly impressed by the pseudo-psychological scenes involving the Joker which obviously had a goal of being impressive rather than supporting the plot. I also don't think much of movies that are mostly a character study of the villain, rather than a good story.

Still one of the best movie trilogies of all time. A thing I really love is that they layer in all kinds of Batman easter eggs for old fans, but the movies are still completely approachable for people who know almost nothing about Batman. E.g. the bald crazy that Crane gets committed, who nearly kills Rachel right near the end? That's Victor Zsasz, a recurrent Batman comic villain. But you don't need to have any idea about that to enjoy the movie, they only mentioned his name in passing.

Fun fact Batman never trained with the League of Assassins in the comics. He didn't meet Ra's until later on in his career. Dick Grayson the first Robin was in college when Batman met Ra's. The whole Batman training with the League of Assassins is only from the Nolan films.

Before Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, superhero movies were generally campy, light on plot, light on villains, and light on fight scenes. Yeah, they had all those things, but Batman Begins made them all look like baby's first superhero films, and it only went deeper from there. It really became the blueprint for pretty much all superhero films and franchises that came afterwards. It really is an incredible trilogy, and a great choice to watch, because you'll get to see where it all started.

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are probably the best comic book movies ever made. Sadly, Heath Ledger passed before the third installment of this trilogy was made.

Excellent choice watching the Nolan trilogy to familiarize yourself with Batman. In my opinion, it is the best version of the world of Batman. The next movie, The Dark Knight, is, again, in my opinion, a masterpiece. I'm anxious to see your reaction to that as well. I really enjoy watching your reactions! 🙂

Other people might have already told you, but Nolan’s trilogy is an adaptation of Batman. Some people don’t like it, some people love it (I do), both mainly because it is an adaptation based on the idea of "what if Batman was in the real world", meaning without magic, aliens, or metahumans. For example, Ra’s here is a human hiding behind scapegoats, therefore seemingly "immortal"; whereas in the comic books, he comes back from the dead using the magic of a Lazarus Pit. Other characters from Nolan’s trilogy, that I won’t spoil, are originally magically-ish powered, but here there are just heavily trained humans. Still, it is one of the two best choices to start with Batman, the other being the 1989 (and 1992) Batman movies by Tim Burton, and if you add the animations, of course Batman The Animated Series (TAS) from 1992 (which is probably the one you mentioned in the beginning of the video) which is just THE best 🦇🖤

Lots of lore, but Batman does not use guns (parents death) and does not murder/kill. Gotham is based on/supposed to be New York/Manhattan. Bruce is a regular man, no super powers, very smart, very rich, has high tech tools and a sense of justice.

@themask82212 ай бұрын
Hey Inna. Forgive me if I misunderstood your reaction, but am I right that you were confused as to who killed Joe Chill, the man who murdered Bruce’s parents? It was Carmine Falcone, the crime boss who told Bruce his father begged for mercy like a dog. He had Chill killed because the man was going to reveal things that would expose Falcone’s criminal activities, in exchange for his freedom. Carmine silenced him before he could sing. Anyway, I enjoyed your reaction! I love that you’re pausing the movie whenever you want to talk in length. And I love that you’re doing your best to really pay close attention to the movie. It’s also fun to watch someone who knows very little about Batman react to this.

Batman (and his sidekicks and villains) all have a varied history to them. No movie puts the whole together (would take too long). The Nolan trilogy does a great job of giving a snapshot of the Batman universe while being it's own.

"I'm surprised he turned out to be a super-hero" ... By the estimation of some, he didn't. I love these films, but I've always seen Batman as neither hero, nor villain. He is the result of deep, unresolved, psychological trauma. His fear is never truly conquered. At best, he learns to embrace it. He is in many ways, just as insane as the super-villains he fights.

Awesome reaction,I enjoyed your commentary throughout, you are gonna be blown away by The Dark Knight, the best Batman movie. After you are done with the trilogy, I know it's still early, but you should check out the Joker film with Joaquin Phoenix so you see another interpretation of the character. Also, you need to check out The Batman, another interpretation of the character. They are all based on the comics, and some are closer than others, but all follow the general spirit of the characters. What's great about the characters of this particular universe is that many of the interpretations work in giving us amazing stories.
