Imo the first and second movies did the combat well. in Begins, it was incredibly choppy, but gives the feelinn of "where is he!? how!?" it made him seem elusive and precise. The second showed more of his martial arts (Keysi fighting method) and its practicality. Third was just Haymaker city.

"In the DC Universe" The Nolan Trilogy isn't set in the DC Universe and is meant to be a more realistic interpretation of Batman than the comics. Master of 127 martial arts is a gross impossibility (it takes constant and continuous training to master just one) and just a stupid way to say "my Batman can kick more ass"; a more realistic interpretation condenses all that into a Mixed Martial Art.

once again, if this version of batman existed, he'd get wrecked. hard. he'd be too slow to fight 4 people at once. as for the theme of the movies, the theme was that anyone could be batman. but no. only a select few people can be batman. they have to be rich, genetically gifted to be the perfect human, and be extremely intelligent. which is why JGL's character would've died so hard if he took over the mantle. A combination of shaky cam and super fast cutting? that might have worked for the first scene but it was shit for everything else. Gladly the dark knight learned from its mistake and made its fight scenes in much longer takes and the choreography was pretty solid. Then the Dark Knight Rises fucked it up again, not with bad camera work, just flat out BAD choreography. Several instances of bad guys just waiting to get hit in the face instead of just SHOOTING batman when there's a clear opening. They're both armed with automatic weapons, and if the one on the left couldn't get a good shot off (which is bullshit from the angle he's at, he has plenty of room), the guy on the right has an enormous opening. And that's not even including the several times afterwards in which batman could have been shot. They are literally WAITING to be get punched in the face. I like the swat fight in the Dark knight waaaay more than the warehouse scene in bvs, because in the swat fight, batman uses tactis and skills to save countless slaves from being shot by the police, stops the joker and saves Two boats full of people WHILE causing zero deaths. The warehouse scene is all about batman snapping arms, cracking skulls, stabbing, shooting, exploding and murdering henchmen with a soundtrack going: "BWAAAM BWAAAAAM BWAAAAAAAAM" Now don't get me wrong, i love the Dark knight returns and i know ben Affleck's batman is kind of based on the batman in that comic, but the reason he was so violent in that story was because he was old and crazy, while batfleck is only 45. @@SIRebrum amazing fight scene when watchin in theater for the first time and 10x better than bale fight scene and to be fair michael keaton batman just survived a plane crash and ofc batman would lose but win again later
@Mr_Wayne2012 Жыл бұрын
@@jasonsalim622 Are you kidding me? Bale is by far a better fighter than Keaton and Kilmer. Bale could easily fight various groups of fighters from 6 to 10 members. Bale used punches, kicks, elbows, etc. Keaton couldn't fight very well, in 89 all the enemies attack him from the front, batman doesn't do much, batman 89 and returns are very good movies but the fights aren't very good, keaton only throws punches at the joker In the final fight, no kicks or elbows or heads, just fists and little else. in 89 a thug jumps at him and keaton knocks him out by literally touching his foot and he dies, is this better for you? leave nostalgia aside. in returns in the scene of the fat man keaton faces a thug who jumps next to him and stands waiting for keaton to throw him without moving. and Kilmer only faced brute thugs who screamed when they went on the attack and little else, kilmer moves similar to bale in begins but not like bale in rises (where it is his best moment in hand-to-hand combat)

I like Batmans choreography in these movies. It's very Batman "Ninja" like since this is the martial art Batman uses in the comics.
@Mr_Wayne2012 Жыл бұрын
Christian Bale's batman demonstrated knowing and using 13 different martial arts. Keisy, Boxing, Kung fu, Sanda, Taijutsu, Kenjutsu, Henso jutsu, cho ho, jujutsu, senshi teki kioyo, etc.
@ClaytonPZ Жыл бұрын
@@Mr_Wayne2012 Yeahthey could've done a lot more demonstrating those fighting styles because a lot of the time you can't really see whats going due the camera angle or the cape disorting the picture. Which looked cool when he would swoop in but then the choreography would suck. The Batman and Batman V Superman still has the best Batman fight scenes. And Snyder Cut.

One of my friends is a certified Keysi Fighting Systems instructor, and he occasionally teaches me whenever I’m visiting home. The Dark Knight trilogy adapts it well, but it moves way faster in real life. This movie really slows it down for the cameras.

They used a style called keysi fighting method. It's a close in martial art that uses a lot of elbows and hands. The camera angles also made the fights look worse in the earlier movies because they didn't show enough of him fighting.

Living proof that even when it comes to superhero movies plot is why you go see movies. The action did improve over time for the most important fights though; in Batman Begins they just shook the camera whole time but the Bane vs Batman fights were well done in the Dark Knight Rises.

+iRoCk97 Batman has never moved like Daredevil, doing crazy flips, jumps, high flying spinning kicks and dodging bullets, not in the comics, not in the animated series or any of the films. Batman is a large 200+ pound man, and wouldn't look convincing doing Daredevil's stunts. While the fight choreography in the Nolan trilogy are merely passable, it's still out of place to compare them with Daredevil when Batman has never fought like that in any medium.
@windowsVD8 жыл бұрын
Nono Pearson Which comics has Batman spinning up and down to dodge bullets?! In most of the comics, he's been described as a large 200+ pound man, most notably in Frank Miller's comics, he has never moved with the same agility as Daredevil, at least not without the help of gadgets.

If I had to chose between Spider-Man or Batman's combat, I'm sorry, but is go with Spider-Man. It's not the fact that it has to be flashy, but they should both look extremely skilled. Batman in this series however looks like as if he was in a wrestling tournament.

Yall dont understand that Nolan came from a realistic point of View, if Batman didn't have Crazy super strength, hes just a dude with Smarts and skill. The fights are golden specifically because it goes from Young batman to Old batman. The Fighting technique is extremely studied and practiced like every other mixed martial artist, but batman works with what he learned in that 10 year span when he left Gotham. Dont down Nolans Batman, this Batman is definitely way better that a Batman that kills. (B vs S)
