This scene is so tragic and yet so beautiful. I remember seeing this with my parents when I was in sixth grade when it was first released. We all loved it, but I will never forget this scene. I felt so overcome with fear and desperation. My dad was speechless. My mom started crying. DC may be implicitly relaunching their cinematic universe, but there are certain aspects that must remain, such as Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, and powerful scenes such as this one.

Superman's sacrifice inspired both Batman and Wonder Woman to come out of hiding and form the Justice League. It proved to the world once and for all that Superman was a force of good so that when he ultimately came back, he would be revered this time rather than feared. "Death of Superman" was never meant to be a final send off, just another step in Clark's heroes journey.

For the original plan of the DCEU, it was to reveal that Reverse Flash was the biggest villain pulling the strings in the background and his actions led to certain impacts not just on the Flash, but the other members of the Justice League. They were to reveal what he did in the other DCEU films causing certain events to happen. So, what if Reverse Flash caused Lex Luthor to lead to all of this happening? That he was responsible for Doomsday's creation in order for Superman to die and lead to Steppenwolf to retrieve the Mother Boxes?
