@@imtheconstitution1190 They kill quite a lot of generals in my game, but since I got overrun I still lose in the end. They also didn't help that much against the enemies already climbing up even if they manage to get in.

Click the stop orders button (the little hand symbol) on the bottom left to cancel orders. The units get hung up on having not completed the previous order and it overrides any subsequent orders but if you cancel them you can give new ones and expect them to follow.

Maybe they will release a definitive edition for shogun 2 for it's 10th birthday. Every game up to Napoleon already has one.

It's called Shogun 2 gold edition, which came out a long time ago. I assume they stopped doing it after shogun 2 because they make bank off DLC. They also seem to keep it hidden from the steam storefront.

Back then we used to tell apart those who pirated Shogun 2 with those who bought it legit (say on Steam) by seeing whether they have Kawagoe or not in the historical battles.

Did people who downloaded it illegally get the battle in their game as well? That still wouldn't really help tell them apart though because people who pre-ordered it would've had it too.

Some repacks have Kawagoe, especially if it's the ultimate edition (or something, forgot the name) repack - fitgirl's repack comes to mind. Also pre-ordering didn't become a real concept in my country until pretty recently.

I bought the gold edition cd of shogun 2 back in 2015 and it didn't have this battle but it contained all the dlcs available except for the blood and gore dlc.

I may be mixing up a few games here but I want to say this battle was a preorder bonus if you bought the game through specific game store chains. So you may have preordered it elsewhere and not got the battle as a result. I distinctly remember having to tell the clerk what the game was about, as TW was mostly big in EU and not that well known in the US at that point. Also yeah I lost credit for all the historical battles as well, not sure when that happened or why.

That bug where units do not follow your order seems to happen only during siege defenses as I've experienced it myself several times.
