I was out on my really light amish/manual mt bike yesterday for 35 miles, some a the trails here go nearly straight down and abruptly steep up, with rocks galore. If there is a way to do it with a normal mtb, it would take a very strong rider with insane skills and explosive leg power. These trails are fun and doable on my Canyon Spectral ON. Not fast but I get up. Too much fun!

Really enjoyed it thanks lads . I got a Levo SL and I also got a S Works Camber and I wouldn’t give up either for the world. There’s still so much joy to get from both . An analogue bike is still brilliant just a little slower up hills that’s all but flats and descents provides a ridiculous amount of satisfaction that I find the ebike carnt match

There are about 2 local riders, who can probably smoke a well ridden E mt bike on trails, but they are explosive strong super talented riders. I doubt they can do it on a very long ride.

12:26 Total moving time is how long to do the course, regardless of who started first or even on the same day. 40.52 vs 52.22 period. There is no 10 minute adjustment. If Chris would have done it the next day would you address 24hrs in the difference? It just means that instead of Chris waiting for 12-ish minutes (had they started together), he only waited for 2-ish minutes because they staggered the time.

great fun, please run it again in the summer just for entertainment factor. I personally ride a Kenevo and dont think the times will change much over that distance. I will definitely be trying this route myself with some mates, cheers for the share.

Let's make a few assumptions here. 1) Max speed on the flats for the EMTB is 25 km/h, and 35 km/h on the MTB. Both are maintained 100% of the time. That's a 10 km/h speed advantage for the MTB. 2) Max speed on the downhill for the EMTB is 25 km/h, and 45 km/h on the MTB. Both are maintained 100% of the time. That's a 20 km/h speed advantage for the MTB. 3) Max speed on the climbs for the EMTB is 12 km/h and 6 km/h on the MTB. Both are maintained 100% of the time. That's a 6 km/h speed advantage for the EMTB. If all sections are the same distance, the EMTB will be 25% faster than the MTB. It's simply because it's not about the km/h advantage, but the relative speeds. That +10 and +20 km/h is "only" 40% and 80% faster, while the 6 km/h advantage for the climbs is 100% faster.

Enjoyed the vid guys but is this just a promo for ebikes am i the only rider that can beet an e bike on a normal bike and the e bikers i ride with are deristricted come on Riche your letting the spandex crew down mate you can go harder than the pie eating manual master , tips for beating the e bike make the course as tech as possible no roadie climbs none and make it long enough that they cant go turbo everywere as they will run out of battery good luck mate .
