この車、スペックは平凡だが、実際に走るとスペック以上だった! エンジンは可変バルタイなど持たないオーソドックスなエンジンだけど、7000オーバーまでしっかり回り、発進加速はほぼ同等スペックのS13シルビア(2.0NA)より速く、EG6(1.6VTEC)とほぼ互角の速さ。 コーナー性能もよく、安定感高いが、それゆえに少し刺激が足りないと感じるかも!? 個人的に一番良いと感じたところは、ボディ剛性の高さ。 欠点は、特にハイテクメカなどなかったので、インパクトに欠けるところかな(GTI-Rがインパクトありすぎたからかも?) 大体ガンさんのコメント通りの車だと思います。

Very good and interesting episode with all of these old GTi's, Europe vs Japan. Neutral handling for the Sunny and Golf who was underpowered, well done both. Tricky handling the Integra, oversteer under braking with turned wheels, perhaps it's the four wheel steering. 205 has the best handling in my eyes but very underpowered in this version. Cadett did everything wrong but the engine, locking wheels under braking, spin wheels under acceleration, endless understeer. Of course tyres are crappy on almost all of them. Please upload more episodes like this. Maybe something like Celica GT four, Sunny GTi-r, Evo i ii iii, Impreza GT, Lancia Integrale, Escort cosworth RS, Mazda 323 Gtr, Sierra cosworth. Thank you very much!

It's a Pulsar not a Sunny, and most those cars have been uploaded at some point bar the one car you mentioned I own, the Sierra Cosworth which was very rare in Japan

That 205 must be the Japanese spec, lower power with low comp and catalytic converter, 120bhp instead of the normal 130 bhp. Pulsar was impressive tho!

Yeah even in france, the catalysed version of the 205 gti lost some serious power. I doubt it even made 120 hp.

Yeah it said 120 PS in the specs listed, significantly down on power compared to the Pulsar/NX (same engine, 140 PS) and Integra (160 PS). A downside to being an older design from long before cats were required in Europe

The Euro version of the 1.9 was claimed to do 0-60 in 7.5 seconds, yet ut seemed to be easily outpaced by the Golf GTi which has (on paper) roughly similar power and well over 100kg more weight to carry. Id guess it actually had less than 100bhp at the wheels.

Thanks for sharing this! It's a shame we can't have subtitles. Then there seems to be huge disparity of driver's skills : the 205 gti is the lightest and the best chassis with the Integra, with a proper driver it would have smoked them all. Even acceleration time is the one of a 1,6 gti...

この時のパルサーかっこよくて好きだった。CMもよかったし。 後期型はステアリングがU13のSSSと同じのになったのは残念(このデザインもあまり他に流用されていないが)。前期はオリジナルデザインだったのに。 またパルサーを出してほしい。

This footage is incredibly good quality! I would never have beleived it was from 1990 if it weren't for the cars! The 205 GTi is worth a fortune now, most of the others you can pick up for peanuts....assuming you can still fine one! The Astra looked a bit dangerous in the corners :-0

the pulsar gti is hard to find, most of the sport pulsars of that generation on the market are the gti-r (awd with sr20det)

Yes these are lower comp unleaded versions of the vw and 205.. But still that is 1 slow 205 .. should have done a low mid 16 400m .. Surprised the vw could keep up so well

They did that car wrong. It was performing like the 1.6 model, as I think the Japanese cars had a difference engine spec.

Normal à 30ch de diff avec toutes les autres, faut comparer le comparable. Je suis pas pro jap ou pro euro, mais on voit bien dans la vidéo que la 205 vire bien plus à plat que toutes les autres, et que le conducteur de la kadett fait le guignol pour pas trop rivaliser avec celles qui sont devant

From german cars Opel had the best engines for the horse power they were saying. I"ve raced my Honda against all german cars at the same power in straight lines and only Opel can keep up. Rest of them are jokes

Kadett GSI is the best car for intrepid young people, very high power, great reliability, the driver in this video did not know how to shift gears with his very hard sequential gearbox, the gears did not fit, that's a lie, they always did, always, he did it He skated a lot and, when there were straights, his ultimate power had to reach any of them and destroy them. He is the best and always ahead of golf, always.

So it looks like the Euros are down on power.... the 205 gti 1.9 should be 130hp not 120.... the vw golfgti 16v should be 139 140hp not 125. the kadette gsi should have a bit more... may be japanese exhaust restrictions...

Not overly surprised the Sunny won, but the 205 being at the back must of had a poor driver

They also shown a lap time chart right after the race is finished (20:17), with all cars driven by the same driver Kurosawa. The 205 was still the slowest somehow..

He was a professional race car driver so no.. Its the that car was really slow..

Surprised the 205 faired so poorly... couldn’t even beat one of the worst chassis of the era (Astra).
