When i run through park in batumi, i was assaulted by racist. While running, a group of teenagers were walking from the other side. When they looked at me they started to block the road, act like monkeys and laugh at me. As I flew past doing middle finger, they grabbed me, and started assaulting me. After the violence, many people around me try to help me. But among them, there was no Georgian. Police don't admit it is racism and they were saying that it was deviation of teenagers. When I asked if I would have experienced something like this if I was European, their response was "there are many Japanese and Chinese restaurants here, and there is no racist here" What a weird logic. Country that tolerate racism Country not worth a visit City not worth a visit Never visit Georgia

Some Italian trucks located in the Dolomite Alps also have the steering wheel on the right side. This makes it easier for the driver to estimate how far they are away from the incline on narrow Alpine pass roads in case of close encounters. Maybe that's the same in Georgia, roads seem to look really crazy/scary.
@RonKiltub3 жыл бұрын
When I was in Georgia, the story that was told to me was that, at one time it was possible to get very cheap secondhand Japanese imports. This is because there was an excess of second-hand cars in Japan and as there aren’t many left-hand drive countries for them to export to, therefore they were a good bit cheaper to buy than right hand drive second-hand cars (as the vast majority of right hand drive countries banned import and sale of them for safety reasons). However, there was no such ban in Georgia for a good few years, and therefore there was a flood of very cheap second-hand left hand drive cars from Japan. Many people bought them as they felt the cheap price made up for the inconvenience of driving them. Eventually, as there were a lot of reports of people in such cars causing accidents, as they didn’t have a good view of the road, the Georgian government joined the vast majority of right hand drive countries in banning the import of such cars. Therefore the amount of cars with the steering wheel on the "wrong side" will start to decline, but there are currently still a lot of them around.

What a fun city. Clearly lots of humor and really querky things going on. Love that. So rare to see. I am not much into modern arcitecture but I must say. That was stunning mindblowing and fun. Georgia is literally different place. 😇As an ex-soviet country; mostly old tall grey concrete soviet blocks are dominating the cities. Places like Batumi have some renovated soviet buildings from external front and converted to artificially Baltic architecture and also carries some Georgian native buildings. And modern buildings and skyscapers there mostly made by investments of Turkey. Moreover Georgia is diverse in climate as well !! Despite of its really small size, it has various type climate ranging from moderate blacksea to highly arid zones. Telling about Georgia, wine is a must to talk about. The first place ever to produce wines and has amazing wines. And script of Georgian alphabet is so unique and classy. Its been selected worlds most aesthetically looking script. Never turn back trying Hachapuri, Hinkali and Georgian wines.😋😋

Thanks for your interesting videos of Georgia and Batumi! In answer to your question on the right hand drive, there are a lot of Georgians living in UK & Ireland. They export cars back home to their families as that's almost always cheaper than buying a car in Georgia.
