Hi, in this new travelmentary/trip report, I'll show my experience with the ÖBB Nightjet from Munich Germany to Milan, Italy. The Nightjet is a sleeper train operated by the Austrian railway company ÖBB (Österreichische Bundesbahnen). I have booked the highest booking class, which is a Single Deluxe Cabin.

I agree. It‘s funny how DB terminated it‘s sleeper trains services claiming they were not economically viable. ÖBB took over their business and so far they‘re successful. As a matter of fact, I heard that DB wants to come back to the night train business. The bigger picture is that many more sleeper trains may be introduced in the coming years. I would love to test them :). Thanks for watching!

sleeper is a great thing. but for a really spectacular trip (if you are travelling for pleasure) from Munich to Milano, nothing beats the direct route through the Swiss alps with the Bernina Express. you will have to change a few trains, but for me that only adds to the experience

Hello 👋 thank you so much for watching and your comment! That’s a good travel idea you have me, I would love to try such a trip. I think I would start with an ICE to Chur, then switch to the Bernina Express and then take another train to Milan. I can already imagine that this might be a cool video :) The Nightjet is cool in its own way, though. Christian from travelmentary TV

As a Japanese, I feel that 169 EUR fee is not so expensive, thinking of the accommodation and the level of service. The Sunrise Express, that is a overnight train in Japan, costs about 200 EUR to ride for 12 hours. There is no breakfast service, no shower in a room, and the room is so small. After COVID, I'd like to travel Europe and experience wonderful night with Nightjet.

@@travelmentaryTV I dont know i'm afraid of that i will ask stupid, but i'll ask it: I read that sometimes the hungarian railway company gives actions from Budapest somewhere to Germany, Austria, Italy n Czechland, o Czech Republic on "cheap" prices. I won't 2 b there none of these journeys! But i ask, did u hear about it! Do trains run between BP and different european cities please? Hi, I don't know enough about the Hungarian State Railway to answer your question. I know there is a ÖBB Railjet going from Germany via Austria to Hungary and that's one of the trains that I would want to show here in future. On their website I also read that there is a night train to Berlin. However I am not a specialist with regards to Hungarian trains, I'm sorry.

Hi, thanks for watching and your feedback. That's a very important topic you're mentioning. While I always try to improve my videos, audio is a particularly difficult topic for me. Over the time that I have made these videos I found that it's very hard to find the right parameters that fit all end-users. Sometimes what sounds right on one device, sounds completely different on another. I do have more experience now than when I made this video, nevertheless I'm still far from perfect. However I hope the video was at least somewhat enjoyable and/or informative. Christian from travelmentary TV

You can book a private seating car for only 99€ there to have no other people in there and then you can pull these 6 seats together to have a lying surface. This is a good offer. And then it´s only yours and you have this hole storage, little tables and two power sockets just for you.
