@@Mrbfgray nice way to twist words. Modern working poor do more hours with less free time than a medieval peasant. In temperate zone and in a healthier society, it does not take 8,10,12,14 hours of work, all year round, to cover your living requirements, because you keep 100% of what you produce without govt and parasite class such as landlords skimming off your labour . Even feudal Lords did not demand 50% effective tax. If you live on the coast then food literally washes up on the beach with every tide. The work required to "just live" is a fraction of what modern people work to "just live." Leisure time spent with family, expanding or improving your living quarters (without having to pay someone for planning permission.) Now every moment outside of "work" involves paying someone. You even have to pay to take a leak, a basic and essential biological function. Do it in a bush and you go to prison. You call that social progress? Some people need to be told how to live, it seems. They leave their parents and immediately, anxiety, needs another authority figure for guidance. Church? No, mass media and govt. Nightmare, Kali Yuga world of fallen men and women. For those so deeply enmeshed in that matrix thinking, try starting point, Aesop's Fable: the dog and the wolf: A Dog offered to help a Wolf get regular feed from his Master. @terrythompson75355 жыл бұрын
I disagree with her. Americans in general have empathy. It is only a very small percentage of people who are psychopath/sociopaths. In the country, we give people extra food or leftovers, or just donate canned food. The primary disagreement is that welfare should come from government. Right now, the "Federal Reserve" (which is privately owned), "loans" money to the government by creating it out of thin air, invests it in smart and talented people, and then passes the debt to the general public through INFLATION. Taxes go to shareholders of stock of the central banks (the rich) as a payment towards the principle of the "loan". It's not really a "loan" though, because they create the money. They never risked anything and they didn't have to first earn the money before having it. This is called the fractional reserve banking system. The primary disagreement between "liberals" and "conservatives" (completely useless labels, really) is that liberals believe that giving the entire general public ever increasing amounts of negative money in the future for cash and prizes now is the correct thing to do, while conservatives believe charity should be done voluntarily through community efforts rather than at government gunpoint. We already have socialism, and the biggest lie about socialism is that it is for the poor. It isn't, it is designed to perpetuate the wealth of the rich (dividends, tax breaks, weaponized legislation, interest) and the poverty of the poor (inflation, overdraft fees, taxes). It's socialism for the rich, capitalism for the poor. Teach a man to fish.. but see, the current fishermen (investors) don't want competitors, so they sell you socialism so that they can get quantitative easing handouts from the fed and tax you to support their business, and use government death squads to destroy their business competitors.

you can only print (create out of thin air) so much money before we have HYPERINFLATION: Zimbabwe, Weimar Republic, Venezuela, etc.
@peekaboo59255 жыл бұрын
Its not about something that Americans understand. Its something that our politicians cant seem to understand. They think that taxing MANY, MANY things on the working people to death is the solution to all poverty. They dont realize that by doing so creates future poverty and increases further when the average working joe cant even pay for his own basic living expenses anymore and have to pay for someone else (usually an illegal immigrant or some who has already been abusing on welfare). So the resulting logic is, why try to struggle and live like that when the government can support me? And creates even MORE poverty and homelessness. Remove the taxes and regulations and see what happens. People will have meaning to work again and to actually live instead of just surviving.
@FehadBilgramiChannel15 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry but from what I can see, you do not have a good enough safety net (social welfare) to rely on. I’m speaking from experience of Australian system which has these well defined and protected. Did you not hear her? She said she didn’t wanna work to stay alive which everyone else in the planet does. The system didn’t let her down, she let herself down. There’s a lot of people who are living the way she described she doesn’t wanna live and actually looking pretty happy still. Ofcourse their not happy about the cost but they’re still finding plenty of ways to enjoy life. This woman is just afraid of working. She’s lazy. She chose to live under a bridge as a poor person not because she was forced to but because she didn’t really wanna work. It’s not that she couldn’t find a job like most other homeless people, it’s just that she didn’t really want to work.

A 4 X 8 sheet of plywood laid between the I beams of the overpass is not nearly as quiet and solid, but it's the only place for us to go where they don't run you off. She's real lucky to have that much safe space. It's like a mansion. I hope she continues to be blessed.
@glossygloss4725 жыл бұрын
In reality, she needs to be relocated and that bridge interior needs to be filled. She’s most likely from the Midwest (like the vast majority of homeless in California) and needs to be in a shelter and then transition into affordable housing. Enough is enough, our state needs to round these people up and send them back to their states.

ThePariss333 You know your really inconsiderate saying homelessness is for lazy people. So your saying that the military that serves this country for our freedom and becomes homeless waiting for they’re benefits that was promised to them are lazy? So some person who kicks around a football all day who gets paid more are not lazy than? What if this was your mother? Grandmother? Aunt or friend? Would you than consider them lazy? You know stuff happens and people become homeless not because they choose too, stuff happens. So god forbid if someone lost they’re job because they got laid off and can’t afford there bills are lazy? It’s people like you who judge someone before you understand they’re story. Make sure your “so” perfect before placing blame on someone else. What happens if they have disabilities or mental illness? I have in fact been homeless before and it was never because I was lazy Why not put yourself in someone’s else’s shoes besides your own. Oh yeah you can’t because your too lazy to do that right? It’s the same concept Have a heart

We need someone to build low-income housing. Basically renters pay a % of the rent then the gov subsidizes you.
