I know we laugh at Del Boy's response, and the fact he has to go and check, but to me that was a pretty defining moment of his character. He's a wheeler-dealer who will happily rip people off, but he adores his family to such an extent that he was satisfied just knowing his child was healthy. He didn't think to get into specifics because it didn't matter to him.

I liked Grandad, he played a good part, but Uncle Albert just had so, so much more depth of character, Grandad always seemed like a 2D Character to me, but you genuinely feel for Albert
