The sanctions didn't hurt Saddam, they hurt the poor iraqi people, whom a lot of american grandmothers used to collect money for, especially hospitals who lacked money for medicine and treatment stuff. They cried when they learned that their president would attack Iraq and make the lives of the people still worse. Hundredthousands of innocent iraqi people died, and thousands of children were left fatherless. This is the worst war crime the West is guilty of (besides the Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombs). It is good that Mr. Blair regrets, he is the first world leader to admit that the West is to blame for the colossal refugee problem we have and for the chaos in Iraq.

As an Iraqi that migrated over to Canada after the war, seeking a better life, after the western countries completely destroyed my home country, backed by their Masonic/Illuminati New a world Order agenda that made everyone of you believe that the Third World countries are no good, and those ppl are worthless and their leaders should be eliminated cuz they got WMDs or whatever the case might be, and the fact that your ppl actually believe them, and forget about their own nasty history of slavery, nuking Japan and killing millions throughout history. If you think you see nightmares, and are mad for not being compensated for going to Basra, helping capture all these oil fields with a gun on you, don’t you think we’re not having worse nightmares than anyone else? I was only 11 when this took place, can you imagine how that affected my mind and personality when seeing dead bodies and ppl getting shot with my own eyes? I’m not blaming you, you were just doing your “job” and trynna get paid, but I really hope you and everyone else realizes how demonic your western governments are, and they’re in NO WHERE better than Saddam, or hitler. They’re WORSE. They do all that invasion/killing bullshit agenda of theirs “legally” and with a all the support they need from their own “UN”. It’s all an agenda buddy. I don’t trust no government. They drew the Iraqi borders, then kept placing puppet governments, until placing Saddam, then they took him out and installed a much better puppet government that would just hand out all the oil fields over to them. We shall all meet at the end of life and see what Jesus has to say about all this. May God bless you bro. Thanks for sharing your comment and sorry for the lengthy comment of mine.

Just imagine not being perfect in Arabic, or English. Cuz I literally left Iraq back when I was 11 and started school here when I was 12. I’m literally 50/50 in both languages. I got family all over the globe and all that was due to the invasion. Every family member of mine had to flee and seek refuge somewhere in the globe. Families are shattered all over the countries across the globe, not being perfect in both arabic or English. And so much more to say. This war has so many long term effects rather than short term effects. You tell me now who should be compensated, Iraqi victims or war veterans “invaders”. Thanks buddy

@@madmanc_angling one of the things that sickens me when I look back is that Blair used fox hunting as a distraction. There’s no doubt in my mind. It worked a treat - we’re a nation of animal lovers and blood sports are an inflammatory issue. I remember it vividly because I lived in the country and worked in London. Country folk were up in arms, the London Underground was saturated with Labour posters of foxcubs. I recall a friend asking me ‘by the way, do you know what’s happening with the war?’ This was a government that employed smoke and mirrors in spades. Every time something negative happened with Blair, something else topped the headlines. Softhearted Blair said he found fox hunting ‘cruel and unnecessary’. Presumably he considered the slaughter of 2-300,000 innocent civilians and children in Iraq ‘compassionate and necessary’. As a Brit, I am so sorry too.

“I’m sorry but I’m not sorry”. That’s what he’s saying. He should be held accountable and punished to the extent of the law. His decision killed over 275000 civilians as a direct consequence of the war and further hundreds of thousands of people died owing to the effects of the illegal invasion!! I don’t know how mankind will remember you tony but I believe you will face true judgment in the lords court!

Wow...I want some of what he is having...I too would like to have this ability to sit there with a straight face and say all those meaningless words coming out of his mouth. Tony Blair was the biggest cheerleader for the war in Iraq. Bush looked like he had been dropped on his head at birth by his mom (and maybe Barbara Bush did do that...I guess we will never know...) so no one took him seriously and no one liked Darth Cheney at any point in time, everybody hated that fucking guy...So they needed someone with the ability to sell the war in Iraq to the people, and Tony Blair was their pitchman! I love how he keeps saying..."I'm sorry..." for what, getting caught?! There is also this running thread in the speech about "accepting responsibility"...so? What exactly will be the consequences that Tony Blair will face as a result of this report? None.

Tony Blair’s and George Bush’s great mistake was attacking Iraq without international support. Getting rid of Saddam was the easy part, but the aftermath was totally mishandled, with a total lack of planning and a lack of understanding of the complexities of that country. The aftermath would have been far easier to handle had there been international support for the Iraq invasion. As it turned out, far from making the world and the Middle East a safer place, the Iraq War made the world a considerably more dangerous one, with the rise of ISIS making the world less safe than when Saddam was there. The case for the war was never adequately made. Mr. Blair insisted on British participation, with the result that he is now remembered above all else for the war and everything else he did as Prime Minister has more or less been forgotten, with only 1 or 2 exceptions, like the Good Friday peace agreement in Northern Ireland. Mr. Blair took a huge gamble with his reputation on the Iraq War; unfortunately for him it did not pay off and his legacy spoilt a lot by the War.

Jeremy Corbyn tells us of the injustices in UK, housing, weeks of waiting for Dr.'s appointment, working faster & faster, retirement age up instead of the promise of lower retirement age & shorter working week if we joined EU. Blair didn't build houses etc. So what was Blair doing? Diverting UK assets into war after war, each worse than the last, each country handed to Scripture-ists who kill for submission to writings of Dark Age Mecca Clerics?

Corbyn policies are unrealistic there is no way he can win an election that's why the party doesn't want him . He wants free Tution for young people as much as I want it . It is simply not practical . This will mean paying higher taxes to fund for this, the university system is broken already loads of people graduate and can't finds jobs related to their degree. We need to fix the system first then talk about changing the fees. . Corbyn spent his whole life criticizing the Eu there are loads of videos of his statements, he voted against various European Union treaties.then he goes ahead and campaign for us to stay. He wants to reform it you can't reform the eu because the eu doesn't want to reform. Corbyn wants to take in more refugees. As tragic the whole thing is there are people in our country that are homeless. If can't house are own people then how he'll do we house a thousand more people coming in. It's not going work, why aren't the six rich Arab. Nations taking any refugees He is too left wing we don't need this as a country . I want a leader who can make their policies work . I am a centrist
