1 tsp white sesame seeds
Directions:
1. Remove the floret from the stalk of the broccoli. Then, chop the florets into bite sized pieces
2. Grate the garlic and ginger. Prep the sauce by combining together the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, cane sugar, toasted sesame oil, potato starch, and water. Set the sauce aside
3. Heat up a nonstick pan to medium heat. Add the avocado oil followed by the broccoli
4. Let the broccoli cook for 2-3min. Then, give the pan a good toss. Allow the broccoli cook for another 2-3min. Set the broccoli aside
5. Place the pan on medium low heat and add in the chili oil
6. Add the garlic and ginger. Gently cook for 2-3min
7. Add the broccoli and turn the heat to medium. Sauté for about 1min

It's great that you mentioned to eat the stalk, many people throw that away. If the broc is fresh enough even the crust is eatable and enjoyable. To be honest, that stalk never survives longer than it takes me to cook, I eat it during the prep work. (chewing one right now while I'm cooking your recipe)

Yes always chop the stalk once it’s peeled and add it to the florets 💚 also I often add a little mirin instead of sugar since that adds some tang and sweetness and I would pan toast the sesame seeds at the start in the dry pan and set aside for the final flourish 💚 thanks for the great vid!

One tip on broccoli: Cut off the dry bottom, perhaps half a cm of it, then find the edge of the outer layer. Put the knife into this edge, then pull up and drag off the fibrous outer part of it. Do this on all sides and you'll be left with tender broccoli stalk with less food-waste.

Aloha Nui from Kona Hawaii! Recently I set up a Wok Station in my Lanai instead of a BBQ (I am using an induction Wok and it is fantastic)! Your skill as a videographer, yourgreat ability as a teacher and your scrumptious dishes are a gift to us all----Mahako

Looks delicious! And not too complicated! Great video! The cool, calm, almost whispering voice over was a nice touch. I could almost imagine hearing the late great singer, Barry White doing a voice over like that! Thanks for sharing this recipe!
