I’m a firefighter/EMT looking into the guard. I had a recruiter tell me that I could possibly get promoted to E-4 if I become a combat medic due to me already having an EMT certification. Is this true??? If so, sign me up!!

Without prior service, you are able to be considered for enlistment into the National Guard between the ages of 17-35 years old. Some states are currently offering age waivers for those past the age of 35. These vary on a case by case basis. Would you like to find out more?

Just study and do ASVAB questions at least 10-15 a day to increase ur chances of scoring higher and download the ASVAB app it has great questions that’ll prepare you

ASVAB is not that hard. 68W also is not a very difficult MOS to score for. It’s not like any stem fields. I did no studying and got a 81 with 115+ on all my scores. My biggest concern was math, but I noticed no questions on the ASVAB were above an Algebra 2 math level. Hope this helps you.
