I really appreciate this video! I couldn’t remember everything the tech said about how to use the boot. This helped me out incredibly!

Oh thank God, I had almost given up wearing my boot because I was never shown how to wear it properly or take it off properly, so it kept falling apart and I had no clue how to put it all back together it got to a point where it was painful to wear the boot, this helped alot, thanks

Thank you. I was fitted witha booth after my cast was removed. No one showed me how to put it on or take it off. I couldn't figure out what the slots were. This was so helpful. It would be helpful to have diagram with the nomenclature--boot, shin guard, pump.et.

I'm at wits end-where does the air bladder insert go in the boot?

I appreciate a video demonstrating how to put on/remove this boot. I was fitted with one yesterday but the PE at my ortho didn't really explain it well. I do have a question: is the order of the straps important? I did find a Breg manual online, and they state a distinctly different strapping order than what is featured here in this media.

I need instruction how to reassemble the boot after washing it. I(foolishly)didn’t pay close enough attention to how it was previously assembled(should have taken a photo/video with my phone), & now I don’t remember exactly how all the padding & Velcro is supposed to be.

I am going on my second one after I destroyed the first one after two surgeries. The velcro for the plastic insert doesn't last long. So I put my own velcro on.

Do you insert the wedges inside the shell or under the shell?

How to put on the midcalf Genesis boot.: 1.Make sure all the straps are open and aligned on one side sticky side up. Make sure the buckles are loose and clearly separated from the boot. 2. Put your foot in the velcro padding. Starting at the bottom connect the foot and calf velcro parts. 3. Lay out the boot straps so they are all on one side sticky side up. 4. Check the buckles so that they are visible and pulled away from the side Otherwise when you put your foot in the boot you won't be able to see them.. 5. Put your padded foot and leg into the boot. Make sure your foot is as far back as it can go. 6. NOW PUT THE SHIN GUARD ON TOP OF THE PADDED FOOT AND CALF. This looks weird 7. Buckle up the straps starting from the bottom . Ignore the slots in the shin guard. Nothing is put through these slots. Remove: :Unstrap the straps. Remove the shin guard. Unwrap the velcro padding. Question. Why don't these come with a diagram and instructions. Why doesn't your orthopedists provide printed diagram and instructions. It's not their job. I have no idea why there are slots in the shin guard. I am open to correction.

The slats on the plastic shell is functional. It’s so that the plastic is flexible and bends and moves with your foot/leg.

I think my boot is too tall. Im 5’4 and i feel like it hits my knee. I can bend when walking

You’re supposed to start at the bottom of the foot when you tighten the straps. Why do a video and show the WRONG way to put it on?
