I came here to find out more about Rick Rubin. I'm not jewish, but I got invited to attend my friend's passover dinner so I thought I'd try it out. It turned out that I was dining with Rubin's parents all night long. My friend's mother is first cousins with him. I didn't really know much about him except the fact that he was a music producer and has worked with highly acclaimed artists. I was reading something on wikipedia about my favorite band and his name popped up and it was really cool because I met his parents and they are real lovely people. xoxo

Absolutely (: then it goes back too The Early Blues Artist as obscure as they were at the time with there sound being rarely heard or played back then during the 50s and early 60s But there sound was revelutionary and strong in its perserverence it was able too break through and reach that 60s England Early Pop And Rock Culture too Ultimately Manifest into early rock bands and then later filter into the band who would lay down the blues blue print in creating what would ultimately fuse into the whole consciousness of The Punk and Hip Hop Culture (: The Group was Led Zeppelin And There Heavy Early Punk Rock Sound (: Not Too Be Confused With Heavy Metal Even Thow They Were Labeled That During The 70s Because Of There Heavy Sound But Too Me O Personally I Think Zep Had More In Common With The Clash Than Black Sabbath And Led Zeppelins Beats Interwinded With The Blues grooves And Melodic Folk Country Melodies (: And That Whole Heavyness Groovish Sound would go too inspire not Just Heavy Metal but also what would be The Whole Punk Rock Scene with groups Like The Sex Pistols, The Clash andmany more and then spread into Hip Hop culture with the emergence of The Beastie Boys who Then opened that revoluntionary musical door even further (: Which is why you heard Zep drum beats and guitar riffs in The License To Ill Album aswell as great hip hop beats and grooves and hooks (: Just like with Led Zep playing the early blues artists melodies and grooves aswell as the country folks inspirations mixed in and fused with there ability too make the that music form not just heavly louder and fast paced but immensely more groovy or funky and much more pleasing too the ear (: So like I said earlier the Beastie Boys Just Elevated Those Ideas In Punk And Hip Hop And Completely Broaden The Horizon Even Further And Changed The Music Landscape Evolution Forever (: I Love Led Zeppelin And Love The Beastie Boys aswell (: aswell as the music from artists in the 50s 60s 70s and 80s and 90s all those artist added there special contributions too the music genre (: Aswell as before the 50s too the begining of music period (: But too me Zep And The Beastie s were too me The biggest contributors too that musical art form that would go on through The Beasties Boys and many Hip Hop and other deverse Punk Rock or Heavy Rock, Alternative Rock or Pop Groups that would Revolutionise The Music form Forever (:

When I first saw the Beasties, it was on a NJ tv channel called U-68. The video was for She's On It. I thought that they were Puerto Rican. The next year when I heard Hold It Now and Paul Revere, I was surprised to learn that they were the same guys. The Beasties paved the way for white rap artists and some of us black kids who listened to rock got more into it thanks to the samples. They are definitely hip hop legends because they brought their own style.

Russell Simmons continues to lie why the guys left Def Jam. It was RS who wanted them to be a “ Fight 4 your right “ 2.0 over abs over again. That’s why Pauls Boutique was and still is one of the best album and PRODUCED records of all time !!!!!!! I wish he would stop saying “ that they couldn’t abs didn’t get along “ BS !!!!! oh!!! And how about a THANK U to Ad Rock for LL Cool J !!!!!! All RS wanted was $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!

It was based on a BBC documentary called Dancing In The Street from 1996. Its never had a DVD or digital release - I think due to multiple licensing issues. There's bits of it on KZbin and whole episodes on Dailymotion but I'm not sure all of it.

It was sampled. Not stolen. Using small pieces to make a new piece is one of the greatest things about beats to rap/hip hop. Or else you could say Zeppelin stole riffs and licks from blues artists. Using something to create something new is not stealing.
