Thank you for this. Best video from Beat so far. Great sound and presence, how you go around the podium. At 04:52 Tony Levin looks straight at your camera and gives a thumb up! High Honour! And I never thought I'd see Steve Vai play a JC120.. Great show and I hope they come to Europe. Thanks again!!

Adrian is amazing…so comfortable playing these intense compositions….hardest job on stage…..playing this while he sings….as comfortable as if he just woke up..cup of coffee….in his pjs….sitting in his music room playing…this is in his and Tony’s DNA.

This is the best part of musicianship. I love that Steve is putting his touch into the music; trying to sound like Robert Fripp was only ever going to sound like an imitation, so seeing him inject Vai into the music is awesome. And it fits! Can't wait to see the rest of the tour!!

To be honest I was disappointed he didn't try to pull off the marathon arpeggiated RF riff on Frame by Frame. However, his extended solos on Sheltering Sky are great!

Speedy Pete you’ve got a sub from me my guy! I was there! in fact, you walked right by me at the top of the video! I was 6 rows back from you! It was my first time ever seeing all of the maestros! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS!!!!! Zech.

You’re very welcome! 😊 I couldn’t believe how good the iPhone picked up the various instruments. Cool we were up front…nothing like it, but we missed some cool parts of the show because of the rotating stage.

@@speedypete2112 oh my gosh yes! it seemed like every time Vai took a solo, he was on the other side! still a spectacular performance! I’m so grateful for this video! also, if you were not aware of this but directly to your left in the pit seats was Maynard James Keenan!

Vai is just loving it. He's got the world's toughest job and he can't even believe he's there. 2024 suddenly got better.

Danny Carey was the perfect choice for this group!!! I would love a hear a new album from Beat with all new material.

if only he hit lighter :P but yes I am in full agreement! I got into brufords drumming because of Danny's interviews! I went to UMKC because of Danny's interviews and mutual aquaintences, and I remember sitting in the conservatory watching 70's and 80's bruford on my laptop waiting for my drum lesson going "I GET IT! I REALLY GET IT!" A new album would be more than any of us could ask for. And I am falling in love with Vai's playing. Adrian is in my top 5 guitar heros!

Tony is so damn good. He is the one keeping the time really. He’s really helping Danny out. Turning back to reassure him where he needs to be. It’s going to be interesting to see the growth of this band. They have more in store for us.

Great film! One thing, why no Thela Hun Gingeet footage as the closer??🤘
Not sure there will be a better capture of this tour. The band gets a little energy from the round and the rooms intimate setting on top of that.

And Steve is not imitating Fripp note for note because he can’t….he already admitted to that.
@lenni-hazelsКүн бұрын
He asked Fripp about that and he told him to just play naturally if people went to see him (Vai), so there is that. I'm pretty sure Vai would be capable to play more by the book. Now if they played Fracture it might be a different story, haha.

I thought Steve brought a lot to this music. Much like Danny, he is brilliant in his interpretation.

I think Steve did a great job. I don't want him to play it exactly as Fripp--I've already heard that. I actually wish he would have taken some more liberties. Here's to hoping BEAT stays together and makes some original music!

…and if Vai could play Fripp note for note, he probably wouldn’t nor should he
