I didn't got any full fledged Kalashnikov yet but I am using the thematic moves of Kalashnikov such as protecting e5 pawn with f6 and creating a pawn chain the Trojan horse in the similar structure which make me fall in love with Kalashnikov along the king of Kalashnikov(Daniel king)

In your book you say b5 is committal that's why you recommend Be7 after Na3 but end up playing what was the point of delaying it for a move. And I allows noticed that Bad Bishop Bounce is done in 2 situation 1. when the Queen is off of d8-h4 diagonal and 2.when the g5 square is under control of white's pieces. Otherwise trading Bad Bishop for Good Bishop is the Theme to get firm grip on d4.
@PowerPlayChess2 ай бұрын
Because by delaying …b5 Black is able to develop, and that makes it easier to cope with an early attack on the b5 pawn.

There are some lines in which white plays e5 and afte that a fast Ne4, attacking doubled c pawn on c5. I ve checked thats possible to sac this pawn by just castling and after Nxc5 b6 and then c5 again, giving life to the c8 bishop

Well done Marharyta. My score against the Rossolimo has gone up a lot since acquiring GM King's Anti-Sicilian course. Love playing 3. Nf6 against it. For some reason, in my experience, it seems to slow down Rossolimo players as well. It's odd, in that respect.

I am glad that i have your Kalashnikov book that will help me learn the opening but if I want to learn a new opening like as you mentioned by myself (that is first looking through model games and then diving into variation) without book but I have a caissabase databse consisting 5 million games then how to use it to understand the strategy and ideas/patterns in the desired openings and how to know which move to choose if I want to deviate from theory and whether the choosen move leads to a strategic play or tactical play. I cannot afford to buy any more books or get a coach due to financial situation the only thing I have is interest and the database. So please help.
@djgresearch2 ай бұрын
One method I've found useful is to play against Stockfish on Lichess at a given level (say 5 or 6) but when I set it up, specify "From position". Then your starting position can be anything you want, say four moves into an opening of interest. You have to tell it whether it's white or black to play, then choose white or black for yourself. Then afterwards, compare against the database and engine.

@@raajeshchess But but you can afford Stockfish, because it is free. First, analyze and annotate the game you are interested in yourself, then check your work with an engine.

Moving the same piece twice in the opening is dubious. White will get a lead in development and good chances to overtake the centre after 4 Nxd4 cxd4 5 c3.

White should have played e6 instead of a5 and even again moves after.
@PowerPlayChess2 ай бұрын
Instead of 24 a5 if White plays 24 e6, Black answers with 24...Bd3 25 Rf2 Bxc4 and has the advantage. By this stage in the endgame, Black has a clear advantage.

@@PowerPlayChess 25 Rf2 isn't the best. 25 Be3 - BxR 26 RxB - Rxc 27 Rxf+ - Kg8 28 Rxe and white has some counterplay.

What happens if White plays g4 to prevent ...Nf5. Weak for White's king obviously but how do we get our pieces coordinated to respond
@PowerPlayChess2 ай бұрын
Let's say White plays 11 g4. Black replies with 11...f5, practically forcing 12 exf6 exf6. The knight will either hop back into play via f7 or Black will achieve ...f5 to open White's kingside. This is quite a standard response to g4 and occurs in many different positions, for example where White waits with the king and castles queenside. But Black always gains sufficient counterplay. I have demonstrated games featuring this idea on the channel previously, and of course you will find full details in the Chessable course!
