It's like that lady (forgot her name) from Uncharted 4 who is just scripted to beat you in every fight you have. Except you get to absolutely trash her for a few minutes until the script decides that you lost at 90% health, because the game won't even respect its own rules. Could have been a cool side challenge. Instead, it's fake gameplay that nobody talks about and most people have never seen, because there's no point checking it out yourself.

I don't like how they made this. She could have been the strongest brawler by far in the entire game, so 95% of players would have lost fairly and the rest would have had a cool optional challenge with a secret cutscene. Instead, it's just a bossfight that you're meant to lose, without the excuse that the story demands your defeat, and without a secret way to actually beat it if you try hard enough. So not only do you have no reason to press any buttons, you have no reason to even try it if you already know it's unbeatable. What's even worse is that Arthur gets knocked out without his health even being low. Guess they had to do that so people would realize it's just scripted and there's no point ever trying this again. This could have been a really really cool setup for a secret ultra-hard brawl challenge.

its not suppose to be fair, rockstar has their own fantasy where racism is looked down upon and woman are stronger than usual when its the opposite of that in real life at that time period, even my own mother told me that back in those days a womans job was to cook and do house work and they had to do what the man said and if they mouthed off they would get slapped. in rockstars world that does not really exist for woman which is why you got a fake scripted fight where rockstar KNEW there would be skilled melee players that could beat her no matter how much cheap mortal kombat type of tactics they threw in so they just took the lazy route and made her just 1 hit KO you for insurance, rockstar is saying you wanna challenge the strongest woman? well your going to look like the fool at the end of this even if you ARE skilled enough to actually beat her in a fair fight. personally besides all this nonsense i always preferred red dead redemption 1 over 2, 2 will always have a special place in my heart but 1 just felt more serious and down to earth and the music was better in my opinion with the trumpets and western guitar tunes and the more arcade like gameplay and the weapons felt better when shooting and looked better. they were all default base guns you dint need different ammo types and you dint need upgrades or could not paint them so they looked like a normal western setting and the story of 1 was better for me because it was like an actual movie or 1900s show with the dialog it was more serious with the situations when speaking and had a more tone to it like you see in westerns but with red dead redemption 2s story it felt like the only thing your character had to do was rush rush rush rush rush, get money and instead watch dutchs plan fail again. funny because when i use to hear john talk about his gang back in the day in the first game i though to myself i would like to see how his old gang was in their glory days but instead we got a story of them constantly running and the main character does not matter because he gets sick half way through the game and dies it was not what i expected. i wish there was a red dead game out about landon ricketts in his glory days but seeing as how the original rockstar members left the company and the voice actor of landons died afew years ago its utterly impossible for that to happen it would take sweat and dedication and good luck for that to happen.

I think this could have been a really epic fight that required relied on your doging and getting counterattacks because blocking hits would make you stagger and take damage. But no, we got classic rockstar "Hey cut that out, I wanna play" big brother crap. At the very least, if they *really* had no choice but to make her unbeatable, they coulda made a special animation of her throwing Arthur off the stage. Maybe he could get up and say he's not done, but the showman runs out and ends the act, closing the curtains before Arthur could get back up.

I never met Hortensia in my playthroughs. It's a shame the fight is scripted for you to lose no matter what. It would be so much more entertaining if she was a kind of "Dark Souls Boss" of Red Dead Redemption II. And with the passage of time, more and more people won't even bother to fight against her, knowing about the scripted cheat. She could even appear on a quest later on and help Arthur to punch some Lemoyne Raiders. Let's remember we already have two badass women in the game, Black Belle and Sadie Adler. Anyway, it is what it is.

I don’t get why people are so mad about her being unbeatable 😂 calm down Arthur beats everyone ever who crosses paths with him let the worlds strongest women have her moment. It’s not like she forced you to go up on that stage thinking you, a man, are going to beat the snot out of a women in front of everyone. She does this for a living. She’s a high level athlete and deserves her title. At least she’s not a fraud. I respect her for that. And for also giving Arthur his toughest fight. I like the idea of there being legends about Arthur that he was a stocky enforcer over 6 feet, and beat every man he fought. The only time he ever lost was the Hortensia the worlds strongest women. That doesn’t diminish Arthur’s legend. Only makes it better

@@solanaceae8 actually a lot of ppl complain about him lol. plus for him hes "Beatable" in a way because if you shoot him in his chest or below, he falls to the ground and starts cussing us out for the most part and then the show ends. i wouldnt mind if she was beatable but still extremely hard to beat, its just annoying how you can be at full health and then lose by 1 punch
